1. On booking into the hotel I was put in room 104 which was approx' 160 m2 and rather grubby. It was located adjacent to the car park. Meaning cars would be parking 15 meters from the door of the room. I immediately asked to be moved from the room;
2. I was then put into room 302; again this room was grubby and small approx' and bore no resemblance to the room that was advertised on the Expedia website. The images on the Expedia website advertised a newly furnished and painted room in pristine condition. However, room 302 did not have a functioning Wi-fi connection so I was not in a position to bring the discrepancy to the hotel's attention, after all, I booked in rather late and at this point, the time was after 12 mid-night;
3. Room 302 was very cold. Comparable to a winter's night in England. The blanket provided was inadequate to retain body heat and I was unable to sleep the entire night simply due to the cold. I was surprised Etopia could have such cold nights but it is a reality. The lack of sleep on this cold night was augmented by what sounded like a pack of dogs barking loudly.
4. At 4 am, 4 hours after checking in; I went to the reception to complain about the situation. The wi-fi connection at reception was working and I was able to show clearly the room I was in was not the same as the room advertised on the Expedia website. I had been put in an inferior room on two occasions although I had paid for the best rooms at the hotel.
