"The breakfast was perhaps the best that I have ever had, not just a fried egg. spectacular fried egg. The only comment I would make is that the mirror above the sink is set up for someone 5'3", not anyone around 6'. Otherwise the place has old world charm only a block from the downtown."

"I love Hotel SLO and have stayed there several times. It’s a beautiful property, in the middle of downtown, with ridiculously comfortable beds and an excellent staff. Unfortunately, the last couple times I’ve stayed there have been some maintenance issues in the rooms that have not been addressed. The door to our bathroom was very difficult to slide and all in all everything in the bathroom was loose, tired, and needed attention. It feels like Hotel SLO is riding on its laurels and not working hard to maintain its excellence as a Michelin recognized property."

"The room was clean and spacious, with a sink outside of the bathroom which is helpful when traveling with a roomie. The hotel had plenty of parking, but not sure if there was a working elevator. The area requires a car so not much walkability or things to do and see. That said, there was a wonderful cafe across the street called Cowgirl Cafe that had great omelettes, so that was a plus."

"We love staying at the e Madonna! Staying at the property is so unique, colorful and fun. The view you get at the pool it’s just pictures. Having the option to eat at the property. It’s extremely convenient and everything they serve is amazingly delicious. Staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. We will be returning as always!"

"There were no personal safes in the room - a real problem for Cal Poly gradation which didn’t allow purses! And no toiletries - and we had forgotten to take these! The front desk gave us tooth brushes when we asked - but no amenities in room"

"I was pleasantly surprised after reading the reviews! It's definitely a more "lived in" property with some dust in places, but the beds & sheets were clean and very comfortable--lots of pillows--the shower had really hot water and great water pressure, and the towels were pristine white and fluffy--everything I needed!! For check-in and when I forgot my room card in my room--the front desk guy was fantastic and super friendly. Considering how much actual time I spent in my room it was great and I would stay here again. :) (Also, if you have a student at CalPoly, the location is awesome!)"
