"Due to appalling use of AI by Hotels.com I was unable to change my dates before travelling, but the staff were as helpful as possible, until I was able to speak to the manager on Monday morning. He did exactly what I had been asking before trying to effect a change through Hotels.com, offering me an extra night's accommodation if necessary. What AI cannot appreciate is that due to several ferries and often inclement weather conditions Shetland is a difficult area to pre-book, especially if travelling with a vehicle from Aberdeen. Not usually a problem, but if changes cannot be effected online it can be chaotic. Plus, Expedia should realise that many people are not able to access the internet at all times, for varying reasons.
