"They catered to the Chinese people. The lodge was ok. The rooms were ok. Not well maintained. Turned electric off most of the time. Location was fabulous. I have been to Kenya many times and this is the nicest location I've encountered. It is on the Mara river. Many hippos monkeys baboons and crocks. It is a one hour drive to Masai Mara but the conservative was nice for safari. The safari vehicles are not very well maintained and we broke down or had a flat tire every day. "I had the perfect stay at Mara Intrepids. The rooms were charming and the food was delicious. But what really makes the camp special is the people. Everyone was so kind and welcoming and I felt like I was part of a big family even though I was traveling alone. Our guide Ezekiel was magnificent and Lawrence took great care of me in the dining room every day (even charging my phone daily). I can’t wait to return. "
