"Checking into Hostal Gud was not easy. After calling we got help thru Whatsapp but the person at the other end just delivered his message superfast andcthen hung up without making sure we had understood. It all just seemed strange and anonymous. We never saw a living person there.The bathroom was the tiniest I have ever seen.No aircondition made the small room hot as a sauna and the noice outside continued until 4 in the morning. Never again will i stay at Hostal Gud."

"All gone wrong… maps tooks you to another building, the phone number is wrong, it takes forever to get rid of the chat bot and talk to a real person, then you got the place phone number, but … the receptionist only speaks Spanish (not French and English as promised) . After get directions, the rooms does not look like the pictures, no plates , no pillows, no tables at outdoor, just an empty apartment (the linens and towels were there..) "A fantastic hotel, with excellent breakfast buffet and so close to Plaza Mayor and the main attractions in Salamanca. Very helpful staff, who solved the problem with my mattress, promptly after the first night. (They added these fluffy mattress toppers that make you sink in them and twist your body until your spine hurts --and you wake up at 3 a.m.!) Advice to other travelers: test the mattress immediately after arrival, and if the stupid mattress topper is not what you want, ask them to remedy the issue right away."
