"Check in was smooth and easy with Payton. Room was awesome, spacious, clean and ready for early check in. Nice pool, new gym equipment being installed, the best breakfast included waffles, eggs, bacon, roasted potatoes and all the usual fruit and bread plus fresh scones & muffins.
The room was ultra-quiet. Not any noise heard from any neighbors or hallway traffic. Ashley, afternoon hostess was friendly, informative about activities around town and very professional.
One of the best hotels to stay in DeLand."
"Such a cute place, with tons of character! Old hardwood flooring, smells like an old school or library. Soothing. There's a bar on the first floor with live music; I definitely would have sat in on the blues performance that I heard on my way out one night, but my visit wasn't for my entertainment. There's also a rooftop bar and a Cuban restaurant, all part of the same building as the hotel - another inviting place I might have visited if I'd had time to indulge. The aromas coming from the restaurant were quite nice, though!
The room was large, with a huge sectional sofa and TV in a living area, another TV in the bedroom. B/R closet was also huge, as was the bathroom (with Jacuzzi). The kitchen had a cute little fridge and a microwave.
My only complaints: no dish towels/cloths or paper towels to wipe up with, so I used a wash cloth and small towel from the bathroom, and a couple of plates, bowls, and utensils would be appreciated. OH - and instructions for the microwave! I could not get it to set a power level, and all of the other preset buttons I tried did nothing, except for defrost. But I had no idea what units I was supposed to be entering. The bathroom is well-stocked with just about everything a person would need, but I bought some Charmin because I'm particular about TP. The door sticks.
The staff is great, the people in the area are friendly and helpful as hell! I really enjoyed my time there, and will try to book a room here again if I have reason to return."
