1. Paper cups in a 4 star hotel 2. The breakfast staff used the same cloth to wipe down the seats then the placemats.

There was a stench of sewer in the room on checking in and the staff seemed somewhat indifferent. The hotel is in a vibrant restaurant and shopping area but extremely noisy at night. Otherwise the hotel is good and breakfast excellent but the above mentioned negative factors definitely impacted our visit.

Hotel is in an excellent position, right on the harbour side. Walking easy and flat to the shops, restaurants and places of interest. Staff friendly and helpful. Room quiet, bed comfortable. Easy reach of airport.

Normally stay in AV but deciddd to try HF. Will not make that mistake again. I am not a negative review “troll”. The check in staff were dreadful and I almost walked out at this point I should have. It went from bad to worse. Certainly would not go stay here again. This was OUR experience.

Best accommodations in town. Breakfast spread, incredible. Worth the price. Worth the passing on traditional stay in this case for the ease of location for access to transportation. Staff was great.

This hotel is located at the heart of Faro’s historic and shopping district, near the waterfront promenade. The staff service, room size and condition, and breakfast were great. I highly recommend this hotel!!

realize it is off season in february so hotel is doing alot of maintenance the spa area under renovation .. the roof top bar /restaurant is VERY nice great views Weather was poor for our stay so could not enjoy the outdoor portion.

I was only allowed to check in at 2.00 pm and even then they had to "find" me a room. Although I would say that as I had to check out very early, they had kindly prepared a "breakfast bag". This was much appreciated!

First room aircon did not work, uograded to larger room where air con worked slightly better, temperature set at 19 degrees minimum. Kept clicking on and off during the night resulting in poor sleep. Room was opposite very noisy bar where a group sang loudly and played a guitar until 1130pm. At reception Carlos and Bruno tried their best to help us. Good breakfast. Overall will not stay at this hotel again due to air con and noise.

Great spot
Hotel is in a great position. Views from the rooftop terrace are great and I enjoyed sitting in the morning sun up there. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. I did just feel the room hospitality offering was on the basic side for a 4*, but it did its job and was comfortable. I’d happily stay again.

Great stay
Lovely stay at hotel faro. Great location and the view from the rooftop is fantastic. The rooms are comfortable, and the bathrooms look newly refurbished. Only negative is that some of the hotel is in need of a refurb, the corridors are looking a bit drab and smell slighty foisty
