Perfect escape to relax. Visited off-season in Nov and found it very calm and relaxing. Rooms are lovely with great balconies facing either the beach or the marina. The Level club is brilliant with its separate heated pool and well-stocked coffee, beer, wine and snacks all day. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I'll be back!

This property is located in a great location. The views are wonderful and easy to get to. The morning breakfast was phenomenal; they even had warm oatmeal, which I only find in great hotels like the Melia. We will be returning and were sad to leave. I booked two rooms for my husband and I, and my two adult kids. They loved it! I based my experience a lot also on theirs as well, and they enjoyed it a lot.

Amazing views

Overall very good. A couple of points to consider. The adults only isn’t strictly true. There are children around the main pool and in the restaurant that you have to go to get your half board evening meal. Also in the restaurant the meal is included in your package of half board but the drinks aren’t not even a glass of water. The adults only section is on level one of the hotel where you can drink and eat and have the canapés and snacks. This is a lovely space with amazing views but you aren’t allowed to take drinks to your room and no refreshments around the pool area unless you buy your own. I highly recommend this place but be mindful of the all inclusive label.

This was our first stay at a Melia hotel and we were very impressed. The hotel was in a good location and the room was excellent. Staff were helpful and friendly and everything was seamlessly efficient. The only two downsides for us were the fact that the rooms and the pool areas were only in sun for half a day, so to sunbathe within the hotel environment was not really an option - at least not for very long. The beach was a 2 minute walk, which is fine for beach-lovers! The other minor irritation was an entrance door by the main swimming pool area which led to the seafront. It was constantly being banged open and shut as people went through. A small fix could probably solve that one! We will definitely use Melia again - and in fact are about to book the next one - but probably wouldn't return to the Alicante one for the reasons given.

I booked well in advance of my stay. The hotel then undertook some major renovation work that was not publicised at the time of my booking. I found out by accident a week before I was due to go. I contacted expedia who contacted the hotel. They just said tough you didn't book a refunable rate. When you book something that includes exclusive areas if you can't offer them, for whaterver reason, you need to inform your guests and give them options. This was such poor customer service. As for the hotel itself there is major renovation going on. The staff were very good. It appeared there were only two elevators for the whole hotel there were long waits for these. I'm not sure the room I had would actually be part of the level if it was where is the seperation of the rooms in the hotel ? The exclusive level pool is currently a building site. The lounge is moved to a room downstairs nothing like the promised lounge. Although I thought the staff in there were excellent. Overall I definately wouldn't go to the level during the work and won't return to the hotel due to the total lack of information about the renovation prior and major lack of customer care.

It was absolutely exceptional in every way. My only critique is thst the elevators are snail and as a result too much time waiting. It would be better if there were stairs if not elevators on both ends of the hotel not just the middle. But that is beyond minor. We can’t wait to come back.
