Aling-Aling Waterfall

Would not stay again. Dirty, poorly maintained, and deeply disappointing. The one positive was the staff. They do what they can with an aging, dilapidated building, but their efforts cannot make up for its condition. The hallways smelled awful, and the deodorizers in the elevator seemed to mask the smell. We booked a large family room with one king bed and two twins. Between the twin beds was a disgusting stain that appeared to be bodily fluid from a previous guest (see photo). The bedsheets and pillows were also stained. The ceiling was cracked, with signs of previous water damage and black patches that appeared to be mould (see photo). The bathroom was equally unpleasant: apparent black mould, rust marks on the wall, and a corroded toilet flush button. Even thinking about it makes me feel dirty. The owners were celebrating the hotel’s 11th anniversary, but the property clearly needs serious investment in maintenance and cleaning. The staff are trying, yet we repeatedly saw guests at reception asking to change rooms. I would not stay again or recommend this hotel. Its four-star rating on Expedia makes no sense based on our experience. At $417 for four nights, spend your money elsewhere.

Spent a fantastically relaxing 7 nights at this beautiful resort. Waking up to the magnificent view every morning was magical. The staff were all wonderful and helpful. Best holiday stay ever.
