"Hotel Guanacaste is pretty accurate in what it advertises, it is a good budget hotel with nice staff and owners. We were even treated specially for being returning customers and that is something to value. There is a bar outside and music can be loud in certain rooms, so pack some earplugs if you are a light sleeper, but other than that we were really happy with the experience."

"This place is a hidden gem! The rustic cabins are well maintained and clean. A short walk from the cabin and you arrive at the restaurant where the food is amazing and reasonably priced. The hosts were so nice and helpful, making suggestions for our hikes and other options for dinner (although we ate on site 4 times it was so good). "The team members are phenomenal. Friendly, accommodating and helpful. They really are what makes the experience. The room was spacious and the shower was *chefs kiss*. The activities around the pool and nightly shows were a blast. It is a hilly property so they have carts to pick you up and take you to your destination if you don't want to be hiking everywhere. Great gym. The only issue we had was the wait times for dinner if you don't want to do the buffet. Itโ€™s first come, first serve but the wait was always 1 1/2 - 2 hours, even the day we showed up at 6:02 for service that started at 6 pm (this was after being told we couldnโ€™t put our names on the list af 5:50 so we grabbed a drink and came back.) Overall, it was a great experience."
