Probably the rudest staff experience I’ve had in a hotel. Basic amenities but clean and quiet part of town. They make you pay cash so possibly illegal.

Hôtel très bien situé et calme. Équipements satisfaisants. Point négatif, l'accueil vraiment déplorable à l'arrivée comme au départ. Certes la communication n'est pas facile mais cela n'interdit pas de sourire. Les femmes de ménage et le garçon du restaurant sont par contre très sympathiques.

Old hotel near Kok Tobe

Peobably a 2 star rather than 3 star hotel. You get what you paid for i guess. The pipes in the toilet leaked a bit, the air conditioning turns on when the plug is inserted (frayed plug) but remote control does not work. Musty smell from the cupboard. Woemrn carpets. Very near to Kok Tobe gondola station and there are some eating options nearby too.

Issues, issues, issues...

I had to switch room 3 times. In the first one safe was missing. In the second there was something on the bathroom ceiling looking like mold and causing me respiratory issues as soon as I entered the room. The third room was ok, but shower curtain didn't cover all length of bathtub, and water was leaking on the floor. Also they do repairs all night long, move furniture. One night I couldn't sleep at all because of sounds. Breakfast hours can be cut any day if dining area is reserved for a party. Very strange hotel.
