Spylaw Farm B&B
10.0 out of 10, Exceptional, (2)
"Could not fault the welcome, hospitality, room, comfort and the food (breakfast and dinner) were fantastic, using their own produce! Lorna and Andy couldn't do enough for us and as it was cold and rainy, we had the luxury of a log burner, tea & coffee and cake in the lounge every evening when we arrived home. Good advice given about where to eat in the evenings. Well situated for most of Northumberland's main attractions. Take home some of their own produce as well. We felt thoroughly spoilt and...

Percy Arms
4.0 star property
9.4 out of 10, Exceptional, (84)
"Stayed in River Till room, really spacious and comfortable. The bathroom had a separate claw foot bath which was wonderful after long days of walking. Only small complaint was that there was no shelving etc in the bathroom to store toiletries. We booked evening meals each night and they were delicious and generous portions. Breakfasts were nice, but seemed a bit hit and miss with regard to offer of fruit juice, tops ups of tea/coffee and the cooking of poached egg, so tried fried egg the next...

"Damp, musty smell in hallway. Our curtains were falling off the rails, and washbasin taps were very difficult to turn. Heating not adequate and towels not changed daily automatically. Helpful host and hostess with perfect delicious breakfast. "

"Wonderful place! Wow what an absolute gem. Accommodation in the Police house cottage was absolutely first class, pristine and so comfortable. Evening dinner in the Hotel restaurant was first class, effortless , super friendly, and the food was simply out of this world. This is somewhere we will recommend to friends and family and we will most certainly be back in a heart beat. A huge thumbs up."

"I don't understand why the previous reviews were so negative. I've stayed in various hotels all over the world and this one was perfectly fine. Room was clean, bed comfy, bathroom clean and power shower worked great. Manager didn't speak great English, but once we got chatting, he turned out to be a really nice guy. "
