Hotel rand me up enroute to tell me that a slight maintenance has been discovered in my room prior to my arrival. I appreciated the openness and advanced notification

Advertising breakfast at 8.30am, but had to wait until 9am on a Sunday. Toilet did not flush.

Very basic hotel, check in was very limited with no info on hotel dining or other facilities. Not shown to the room and found no hand soap in bathroom. There was shower gel and shampoo. The room overlooked outside drinking and smoking area and could smell smoke if window open. All furniture was old and some pieces had been mended. Floor boards loose in some places. Admittedly the building is old and has character, but TLC required.
