"Beautiful hotel overlooking the water. Incredible staff (Babu was extremely helpful and friendly, the others also). Rooms very comfortable and lovely. Parking not so convenient but there is an option."
"We stayed in a triple room, which was 2 rooms with a small hallway in between, a lovely layout. Lots of natural light, huge bathroom, overall a pleasant surprise. Yes, the beds/mattresses were basic, the decor a little dated but fully functional. Water pressure is excellent. The floors were amazing with natural hardwood, the real thing. It was once elegantly decorated and not cheap. Now it's still okay. Skip the food at the hotel, it's not worth the money. If you absolutely have to eat breakfast, opt for a "coffee with toast" version. We went to the beach (a few steps literally) and had an amazing coffee with pincho, cheaper than the breakfast at the hotel.
Overall - great value for money.
The wifi works better on the main floor."
"My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and it was an absolute wonderful stay. The hotel is in the perfect location to relax and enjoy the view of the ocean. The staff was very helpful with questions and accommodating any requests. Our stay included breakfast and that was also really nice. I would love to come back here one day.
My only suggestion for any person wanting to stay here is to rent a car if you’re not local so you can take advantage of the nearby views."
"This is a lovely place in a delightful setting. Marta, the host, is excellent and efficient and very pleasant. It's a very nice place. The only small downside is the front door to house, which bangs quite loudly and can be quite disturbing- so the pressure setting on the door closer needs adjusting. The beds were made and room made up every day - which was nice to come back to."
"We had an absolutely perfect stay at Akelarre, from our initial welcome, to our lovely breakfasts, to all the very thoughtful snacks and treats left in our room each afternoon and evening. We felt genuinely cared for each day by the entire staff. Our room was clean, spacious, well-equipped, comfortable, and beautiful. And the location provided the most spectacular views from the common areas as well as from our room. Indoor self parking was included and convenient. Everything about the property and the staff showed attention to detail and genuine care for the experience. This was hands down our best, most unforgettable travel experience anywhere, and we travel a lot. "
"It is off the beaten path but a very unique and interesting facility to explore. The surrounding mountains are stunning and the hiking trails limit less"
