"Our stay was in an older, 2-storey motel-type building surrounded by villas. All suites in our building faced the ocean, and the beach boardwalk was a few steps away. Our suite had a kitchenette and was large with stunning, direct views of the ocean and nearby rocks from the large balcony. Enjoyed it immensely. Difficult to find as it is in Alvor, not Portimao proper, and there are numerous Pestana facilities in the vicinity. The grounds are under construction and parts of the complex are a bit run down. "

We played tennis and the golf course was amazing and excellent value. We would definitely recommend and we are already planning to return to the Penina next year.
