Staff was nice, except this is the only place we’ve ever stayed where I wasn’t allowed to bring my wife breakfast back to our room. Safety latch/lock was broken on our room door and shower was rusty and paint peeling from tub part( not wall) we refused to use the shower., we like the fact it has a full refrigerator and although I couldn’t bring my wife breakfast, it was a very good free breakfast with eggs, bacon and sausage.

One night stay for family vacation

The condition of the hotel was rough and not maintained but the room itself was updated and nice. The bedding comforter had a stain and the floor needed cleaned. The breakfast was good with a variety of warm food choices.

Bad breakfast, bathroom fan and AC were loud like an attach helicopter. Old room, requires renovation. If you need a place to lay your head for the night it's okay. Other than that, find another place.

This location is trying to be two things that are contradictory: short-term housing for low-income folks in Amarillo, a legitimate need, and, a mainstream destination for travelers on I-40. The experience was like being the first retail customer in a room last used to house the homeless during Covid. Most of the appliances were broken, the shower dispensaries were empty, and the pool had been replaced with a checkerboard garden of concrete and dead plants.
