I loved staying at the Le Grand Amman Hotel in Amman Jordan. It was amazing. From the time we walked in the door, they were all so kind to us and made us feel special. the staff was amazing. we loved them each one of them. They got a taxi to take us into town and They got a taxi to take us to the Airport. They were so good, They made us feel safe and secure. Thank You, We loved your staff.

Staff was great. Hotel room had a bad smell to it and AC did not work past low. We notified the staff and they tried to help and moved us to a bigger room. Unfortunatly that room also smelled musty and dusty and the air conditioner did not go past a certain level. We do appriciate the staff trying to help.

A Grand Place to Stay in Amman
I had a great time staying at the Le Grand Amman. The location was suitable for me, close to some stores and restaurants. It seems that the staff does not know what hospitality is. They are rude and they try to rip you off and they hate the fact that we booked via expedia. On check-out they tried to rip us off with an additional 20 US Dollars per room "because expedia make them lose 20 US Dollars as difference of exchange". That's obviously a bogus reason.

We highly appreciate your feedback as it assists in evaluating our services. As we investigated your concerns we would like to share the outcomes with you, as you booked for one night two rooms , and you wanted to pay using your credit card an amount of USD 342. which is the official exchange rate of USD without any commissions in case of exchanging money in the bank, even explaining to you that exchange rate is not controlled by the hotel and it is the credit card company that decides rates and it is different when paid in cash than credit card, but as you insisted to get a credit card receipt in USD which was causing a loss of JOD 15.000 , and to solve this issue we accepted 300 USD in cash and did the exchange in the Bank next door and we paid the difference of JOD 0.9 to guarantee that you are happy, we can summarize your payment as the following: 1- 300 USD = 212.4 JOD exchanged in the Bank by our doorman Rami. 2- JOD 29 Cash in JOD paid by you. 3- JOD 0.9 paid by us. To cover your total of JOD 242.300 due amount and we cancelled the preauthorization that was taken on your credit card based on your request. Great Hotel
This hotel is very nice and the staff was great. The rooms are large and clean. We stayed on the executive floor and the executive lounge was great. The buffet breakfast was quite large and good also. We would stay here again. It is not walkable to the Citadel or Old town, but UBER and taxis were very inexpensive. ($3-$6 per trip into the central city). Would also recommend their gift shop, nice selection of items and prices were good.

To room was incredibly hot and stuffy. The air conditioning was turned off for the season. Opening the window never called to room and it was on very busy Noisey street. The room was somewhat dated. Despite being non-smoking, it’s smelled like smoke. Breakfast was two coffees, two orange juices to croissants for $46 Canadian ! The staff was really pleasant and very helpful The lobby is very grande and beautiful

Overall good hotel and clean but a bit tired and needs renovation. It is located in old Amman not in the newly built trendy area of Amman, so kinda old school 5 stars hotel . The building looks like it was built 20 years ago and was a fancy hotel back then.

Absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at
Absolute worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at That’s to say the least the TV does not work they tried five different occasions to fix it the shower handles do not work the AC is terrible especially And almost 90° weather the staff is not very accommodating I would urge everybody not to stay here there are way better choices it’s comp these rooms are very old the hotel needs to be completely closed down and read on the maintenance staff is incompetent the management are idiots and that’s all I have to say I’ve never left a bad review in my life that should tell everybody something

Excellent amenities & staff
Very large, clean and comfortable room with big windows for view over the city. As a vegan, I had plenty of choice in the breakfast buffet and dinner restaurants. Enjoyed happy hour at the bar. Very friendly staff. Good wifi (I was able to have long conversations on WhatsApp and Skype). Huge bathroom with robe and slippers. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good happy hour at the bar

The hotel is aging and you can see it. Better to spend the extra 40 and stay at a real 5 star. People are friendly.

Great value hotel near the center of Amman
My girlfriend and I stayed here for 2 nights before going on a tour of Jordan. The hotel is conveniently located to the center of Amman, although it's still a 5 JOD ($7 USD) cab ride away from the Citadel and the Museum of Jordan. The hotel has great ammenities, including both an indoor and outdoor pools, as well as sauna and steam rooms. However, the residential areas of the hotel did look somewhat dated, as though they have been kept clean, but not upgraded since the 1970s. Finally, the staff were very polite and helpful, and it was good value for money.
