Booked the property due to its close proximity to the concert venues as I was attending a show at AFAS LIVE. The location is convenient and quiet. The walk from the train station to the hotel was easy. The staff were friendly and attentive. Loved the daily breakfast provided! The room itself was clean but you can see the signs of wear and tear. A bit of sprucing up would make it better but all in all, I was pleased with my stay.

This was the perfect location for the AFAS centre for a concert. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. The bed wasn't the most comfortable and made loads of noise. There is not much else around the area to visit but still a nice place to have a walk around. The transport links to here is super easy and efficient.

Appealing Treatment by hotel staff
have a complaint to make. I booked a 4 night stay in Amsterdam, Hotel Arena Towers Holiday Inn Express 17-20 August inclusive. At the time of booking I paid a deposit of 96.19 Euros, I have evidence of it going out of my bank account to HXpayments.com for £76.55 sterling on 28 July 23. On checking out of the hotel yesterday, they insisted that I still owed 92.74 euros. They kept us there captive like prisoners for 2 hours whilst they tried to sort it out. They agreed in the end that it was their error and let us go. I find today that they have taken £79.38 out of my account which I would imagine equates fo 92.74 euros. I am appalled at my treatment at the hotel, making to wait for over 2 hours whilst they didn’t manage to sort it out. Then to let me go and take the money out today, it is disgusting. I have already paid the deposit of 96.19 euros, I have it in paper copy on a payment detail sent by yourselves. I really need you to sort this out and I need reimbursing with the payment of £79.38 which has been taken out today. I would also like some compensation from the hotel as we missed our river cruise in Amsterdam yesterday due to being made to sit there whilst they failed to sort this out. I am attaching a pdf of the transaction for £76.55 which was the deposit paid on Friday 28th July 23, this is what is showing on my bank account, however the booking was made on 26 July and I presume it took 2 days to show in my account. I hope to hear from you

Appreciated the staff who arranged two room next to each other for my family. He was so friendly and professional. The room was clean and neat and quite close to the metro station. Impressed that the hotel offered to have a bottle of water if we opt to not changing our towels. It’s definitely a thoughtful program to encourage customers to be more eco friendly. Well done!

Clean, comfortable but with a difficult check in.
Hotel was clean, modern and comfortable, exactly what we needed. It was perfect as just a place to stay after a day of exploring the city. When we checked in, we were told we hadnt made a booking (we had), then that we hadn’t paid (we had) and that we had booked a room with 2 single beds (we booked double). Baring in mind this was at 1am, it wasn’t the start to our holiday we needed. Once this was all rectified by showing our booking and some time, we were able to check in.

Reasonable size room with twin single beds, good walk in shower, very happy with cleanliness. Stayed 4 nights, all the staff we interacted with were very helpful and friendly. We liked the cucumber water at the reception. Good choices of continental breakfast and you could eat as much as you wanted. Hotel was busy, but in rooms and corridors it was quiet, only a minor amount of noise on Friday night when guests in next room came in very late, but most of the time it was total silence. Around a 5 minute walk to Bijlmer Arena Metro from hotel and then a 20 minute ride on metro to Amsterdam Central, or shorter if going to other sites. We found it worked well to go into Amsterdam most days just after breakfast and do activities and sight-seeing until evening time. If you are going to want to visit central Amsterdam but like to be able to pop back to the hotel to rest after a few hours and go out again this is probably not a good option. No events on at the Arena during our stay so area around the hotel quite quiet but as two females we felt safe. There are several places to eat around the arena and metro, generally fast food with sit in options. IKEA restaurant also available but about 15 minutes walk away. We had absolutely no complaints.
