"Great location, very friendly front of house staff. Onsite parking a bonus. Family room was excellent as it was spacious and across 2 rooms. The part of the hotel we stayed in was tired but had some character. Other rooms had sea views or balconies. We had no view and some extractor fan noise, but not an issue to get the family room we needed. Eoukr stay again."
"Large family room 50m from the promenade. Had everything you could need including large bathroom, tv, tea and coffee. Lots of local and tourist info and leaflets available. Staff were very helpful.
We were not in the main building so had a short walk up the road for breakfast which was a good choice of full English or continental. We did eat at the restaurant otherwise. The bar is fairly good but not very big.
The only negatives for us were the walk into town which took about 20mins. Luckily we had great weather so that helped. Also there was a lot of building work in the vicinity which meant it looked a bit scruffy and unkempt but if can see past that ( which we could) then you will be fine.
All in all good value for money."
"Fantastic location. Whole experience was outstanding. The staff were helpful from beginning to end. Even a bottle of Prosecco left in the room for us on our anniversary! Would highly recommend and certainly use again"
"The opel express was very clean and the breakfast very good with plenty of choice the room had excellent amenities provided ,with a kettle in room and tea coffee and water topped up daily, only saw staff at breakfast and checkout, it was self check in with key to room left in a safe, the room did have a ceiling fan which was very noisy and could only use with the light on, I was there during a very hot period so not much comfort throughout the night, the view from the room was not good looking out to the side of another building it didn’t feel very private as windows looking straight in, maybe nets could give it some privacy, the location was fantastic on the promenade with a bus stop across the road."
"We had room 402 on the fourth floor it was very warm with the sun coming into room all afternoon, we left a note for room service to leave the curtains pulled which helped on our return.
We requested a fan which helped, one window was screwed shut which didn’t help.
The floor sloped by approximately 4 inches from the door to the windows including the bathroom."
