Oasis of peace in Anjuna
This is a lovely heritage hotel in the Portuguese style set in beautiful tropical gardens. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and there is a restaurant serving a variety of international food though you’d be missing out if you didn’t try the amazing Indian cookery on offer.

Been coming here on and off for 30ys it was one off the best places to chill and stay with amazing swimming pool ,but it seem to need TLC, it needs the swimming pool floor re painted to look like a lagoon again. I think covid hit india hard ,but some money needs to be thrown at it to get up to how it was.

Must Visit! (Animal friendly)
Home away home! Such a pleasant, delightful stay this is our second visit with our two little cats. The rooms are massive and definitely give a royal vibe with a cosy plunge. Nature gifted a lovely ambience with gorgeous birds and cute little two sisters (Cats) including paradise flycatchers and peacocks that come to visit quite often. The servers are so kind and helpful. The owner is a gem as well! The pool is quite large (lukewarm water supply) and nicely maintained as it should be. Definitely recommend those who are looking for a weekend/weekday getaway from city life. This place serves everything one may wish for (calm, private and animal friendly)

Good location and friendly staff. The rooms are very spacious but could use some maintenence. There was a working fridge and the shower had nice hot water, the ac worled good as well. The room was cleaned daily. There was no wifi in the rooms, just in the common areas. The pool was gross. Lots of algae, I did not swim there. The grounds of the property could use a little work to. There is a PADI dive shop conveniently located at the property so if you want to scuba dive Laguna Ajuna is a good choice. The location is good, close to beaches and restaurants and you can rent a scooter from reception for a more convenient commute. All in all the stay here was alright.

Thanks for your review. Wed like to clarify however that the pool is properly maintained, both filtered and sanitised to correct levels. it has a colour plastered bottom and sides to simulate a lagoon. Along with the greenery around, which people describe as the opening scene of "Jungle Book"As you noticed its in daily use by both a well known international PADI dive centre and a club playing Sallyball, a volleyball game in the water. Its possible that there was a breakdown of the maintenance system that day, in any case we're sorry you missed using it, swimming in and lounging around the pool is a large part of a good day here. Wish you haoppy travels.

Great Hotel a little lacking in facilities
The hotel has a truly beautiful setting BUT the buildings are a little run down whilst this adds to its charm its interesting electrics were a little concerning. The staff are great and the service excellent But the air-conditioning was only in the bedrooms so the living space became very hot during the day. We had a great time but a little modernization would make it more appealing to a Westener However the value for money was excellent as was the food

Hi, thanks for the review and we enjoyed your visit and stay too. As you noticed the switches are the old black white switches which we retain for charm. However they are of recent manufacture and though they look retro are built to modern standards. A lot of people, especially Westerners dont want air conditioning at all, so we've chosen to keep the living rooms non airconditioned. Thanks again and happy travels

A decent stay near Anjuna
Overall a pretty good stay. Walkable distance to Anjuna beach. Location and the staff behavior was very good. The rooms are big and it can easily accommodate 4-5 people. Gives you a feel of a traditional home in 1980's. Good for couples as well as friends/family. The property need some renovation to take it to a next level and the swimming pool lack cleanliness. The breakfast could have been better for the price they charge.

It was a good experience staying at this property. Had a great conversation with Mr.Farooq who is the owner of the place. Whatever little concerns I had, was conveyed to him. The rooms need a little more lighting. The kitchen staff is very warm, friendly and provides fresh tasty breakfast.

I booked 4 rooms for couples....n I stayed in a fabulous igloo shaped room..... everything was gud n mainly the owner of this property Mr.Farooq sir is so sweet that he himself came to greet us with that smile..... Even the food is good ter, n Mr.farooq sir offered complimentary breakfast for us even it was not included in my booking.....it's a perfect stay for couples n friends with pool and other games to play ....I would like to visit again Cons: In One of my friends room ter was electric problem, n in rainy season u ll be having some insects too due to lush green environment around rooms.

2nd time was a mistake
I have stayed in this hotel before, but this time I took my husband and friends hoping for the same experience I had earlier. But this time rooms very not at all clean or maintained, staff refused ice in room service in the peak of heat, no backup when the lights went off. The people are lovely but the adminstration of the place needs some work. I was so disappointed to have to change hotels in the middle of my vacation. I hope they mange the place better because the place is soothing.

Sorry, we have a policy of no drinks and food from outside the hotel, and this kept happening even when the staff requested you politely to refrain. They still gave you ice and service late night the first time.

Average hotel.
Laguna Anjuna is an average hotel. Its a 4 minute scooter drive from the beach where at times they have music blasting till 2 a.m. at some beach hotels, so the Laguna is nice because its away from the noise. This hotel is rustic and is not for all people. One thing I didn't like is that at times locals, (mainly expats) bring their kids over to the pool and it can get crowded. One afternoon, my wife wanted to jump in the pool but there was literally 35 locals in it, so we passed.

Nice stay
We stayed in Laguna Anjuna in the monsoon season and had a fabulous time. The staff were very helpful helping us rent scooter and even a taxi for a day. We went to the beaches which were very close by - not walkable, but with a scooter it was perfect.

We had a good time with our 2 kids. The pool is very nice for small kids. They have a baby pool and a nice sized adult pool. The location is nice and it is very naturesque. Things we didn't like : The breakfast is served at 8 am and that too is late sometimes. Some rooms were under a state of construction/repair. Overall we had a good time there but there is scope for improvement.

Nice rooms but one tends to miss the hotel as its entrance and neighborhood is shabby. Hotel staff is very helpful but we faced some issues with frequent electricity cuts and cable not working on rainy days as also our geyser ws broken. The pool available is ok. However the hotel.z located vry much in interior so if u need easy n quick access to beach, i wil suggest this is not uour place

Air con in rooms not effective. Breakfast included in the package, however it was just corn flakes and museli along with cut fruits and juices. This beautiful hotel contributed to a wonderful visit to Goa. They have an ECO-profile and very romantic rooms in historic 'small' buildings. The swimming pool is absolutely wonderful, and as one of the locals told me 'right now all of the children in Goa are learning to swim in this pool'. This results in many children by the pool, but it was never to crowded and my own four-year-old learned to swim while we were there. The service could do with some improvement. The staff was never forthcoming and misunderstood simple requests and often seemed enoyed when we confronted them. The restaurant and morning buffet were nothing out of the ordinary, but acceptable. It took about ten minutes to walk to the beach or downtown Anjuna , and the area was quite friendly. One does not visit Anjuna to go shopping. The internet was working better at Laguna Anjuna than anywhere else we visited in Goa. I would love to go back to Anjuna Laguna and would recommend it to anyone. My son's comment when we woke up the first morning was 'It is like living in the jungle'.

STAFF DOESNOT LISTEN THE COMPLAINT. I AM A DOCTOR AND TOURING FOR LAST 10 YEARS N NEVER SAW LIKE THIS.. SO BORING CONTENTS OF BREAKFAST,... ONE CORNFLAKE WORST QUALITY OF BREAD PAV( NOT SUITABLE FOR EVEN A DOG) ONLY ONE JUICE WHICH U MAY NOT LIKE ONE BHAZI SAME FRUITS AND ALL CONTINUED FOR THREE DAYS. ON COMPLAINTS THE STAFF SAYS THAT WE R NOT BORED BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT TO EAT... U HAVE TO EAT.. WHAT A REPLY,,,,, NICE.. THANK BECAUSE THEY COULDNOT CHANGE THE QUALITY OF BEER AND THE EGG. WE UNDERSTAND THE CHECKOUT POSITION BUT BUT BUT I WAS SHOCKED TO KNOW THAT THERE WAS A SMALL ROOM READY WHERE WE COULD HAVE RELAXED FOR TWO THREE HOURS WHICH WAS GIVEN TO US AFTER TWO HOURS OF REPEATED REQUESTS. WE THREE PERSONS FATIGUED FULLY PASSED OUR TWO HOURS WANDERING HERE AND THERE. SO DISGUSTING.... WE BOOKED TWO SUIT ROOMS. ONE WAS EXACTLY THE SUIT ROOM BUT ANOTHER WAS A SIMPLE ROOMS .. I THINK THIS IS NOT ONLY THE HOTEL BUILDING BUT THE AMBIENCE ANDTHE RESPONSE OF THE STAFF WHICH MAKES A TRAVELLER HAPPY. I PERSONALLY THINK THAT INDIANS R STILL NOT OUT OF SLAVERY OF THE WHITES. THIS VIEW DEVELOPED BECAUSE OF THE BEHAVIOUR. AFTER ALL MONEY IS VALUABLE. I DONOT KNOW WHAT THE OTHER PEOPLE LIKE THER .. A SWEEPING LADY INFRONT OF UR BREAFAST TABLE OR A CLUMSY CONTENTS OF BREAKFAST WHICH CAN BE IMPROVED IF THOGHT IN ANOTHERWAY..ROOF OF UR BEDROOM HAS A GLASS TILE WHICH I THINK A HOLE IN UR PERSONNEL WHEN OUTER IS DARK AND BEDROOM HAS IS LIGHTENED. VERY DEPRESSIN FLOORING.. RS 4000 IS NOT A SMALL AMT FOR ONE DAY.. IMPORTANT IS THIS CAN BE IMPROVED VERY WELL. TRADITIONALITY OF ROOM IS GOOD , AVAILABILITY OF RENTED VEHICLE IS GOOD . WATCHMAN IS GOOD... OVER ALL IT IS VERY DULL ANDDEPRESSED AMBIENCE... AT LEAST FOR INDIAN PEOPLE LOVIG FOOD AND ATMOSPHERE AND WANTING GOOD RECEPTION SHOULD NOT PREFER THIS HOTEL . Laguna Anjuna was a beautiful,serene place.Its lush greenery,quiet ambience was inviting and rejuvinating.We had a lovely stay at this resort.Such a friendly,helpful and warm staff.Its lagoon styled pool is its most beautiful jewel.The rooms are big and comfortable.The price we payed was totaaly worth it.We loved the place and would recommend it for people who are looking for a date with nature,openness and solitude.If you want a clean resort/hotel looking ambienece than this is not the place.its like your own rest house,with music flowing in the background and u r siping ur tea reading your newspaper.The beach was a ten minute ride,the deaprtmental store was near by.There are restaurants near by,but the inhouse food was equally delicious!!

Laguna Anjuna Goa, an OK stay.
The hotel rooms were clean and large but very basic and quite dark. Mosquito nets were available but old (few holes) and dingy. Bedlinen was clean but smelled mouldy. Electrical sockets and light switches didn't look really safe. TV with lots of channels, also for kids. Breakfast was very basic. Lunch and dinner was OK and normal priced, serving was a bit slow, but probably all fresh made food. Wifi is free and quite fast. Swimming pool is nice, but not enough sun beds, some of them are almost broken, cushions are in bad condition. Free towels at the poolside, you are allowed to take them to the beach. The garden is nice (with flowers, palm- banana, mango and jackfruit trees) and well looked after, because of that (watering the plants daily), there are many mosquito's. There are also lots of crows. Small 'library'. The beach is a 10 minutes walk away: garbage along the road, very primitive housing, cows, new temple, grocery shops, internet cafe, nice church and tourist shops . All in all the hotel can use a refurbishing in the near future and maybe a better mosquito control program. I've had a nice stay, but next time I'll choose something newer with more luxury. That I need to pay much more than is self-evident.

The hotel is really laid back village theme hotel. We were expecting this but we were not expecting that there were no signs for the hotel and it was extremely difficult to find. Also staff was not the friendliest, food for average. Overall it was an average hotel and if you are looking for laid back place with laid back service it might be the place. Lastly be ready to get up early in the morning with the neighborhood rooster.

Très bien accueilli par le staff, notre chambre, assez spacieuse nous a plu. Quelques améliorations possibles sont à faire sur la propreté, par exemple sur le linge. L'endroit est très bien placé et un vrai coin de paradis avec sa piscine très sympathique. Seul bémol, les soirs de fêtes, on peut entendre la musique des club environnants (nous étions sur place le jour de 1er de l'an)

hotel con piscina a 300m dal mare
Rispetto a qualche anno fa mi e' sembrato meno curato, la piscina ad esempio sarebbe molto bella se fosse meglio tenuta e attrezzata (solo 4 lettini con materassini vecchi, non sempre danno gli asciugamani). L'accesso wifi e' farraginoso, c'e' un codice che cambia in continuazione. La colazione potrebbe essere piu' abbondante. Nel complesso c'e' quiete e le camere sono spaziose, la posizione e' buona perche' vicino al market del mercoledi' e la spiaggia di Anjuna si puo' raggiungere anche a piedi. Molti dei clienti in questo periodo sono famiglie indiane. Il ristorante non l'ho provato.

Wunderschöne Anlage unter Bäumen
Die Zimmer, bzw Apartments sind ein Traum, super gross, toll eingerichtet. Der Pool liegt auch sehr schön unter den Bäumen. Leider war die Bedienung im Restaurant miserabel und ab dem 2. Tag wurde an unserem Häuschen das Dach ausgebessert was enormen Lärm verursachte und ausserdem fiel der ganze Dreck ins Zimmer und ins Bad, welche nicht mehr benutzt werden konnten danach. Wir hatten zum Glück noch die Ausweichmöglichkeit ins "Wohnzimmer", das allerdings ohne Deckenventilator und Mositonetz auch eine Herausforderung war. Schade, der Aufenthalt wär sonst einwandfrei gewesen.
