Lovely boutique hotel with gorgeous rooftop dining with spectacular view of the bay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Short walk to the beach and numerous seaside dining options.

We have stayed in the village of Kalyves for over 10yrs and Sunrise apartments was a wonderful find this year. After a long delayed journey with children we arrived around 10.30pm where Nikos and his staff were happy to cook us a lovely meal. Our family room was spacious, clean and the beds exceptionally comfortable. During our stay, all requests were hassle free.. safe key, iron, taxis, late night drinks, nothing was too much trouble. The staff were chatty and friendly and the pool area and bar meticulously clean. The 10 min walk to the beach is fine but a little steep on the way back. There was ample parking for a hire car. The main bar & restaurant has a lovely elevated position and the menu was impressive along with the views of the bay, which can be seen from most areas in the complex. For a quiet relaxing holiday or a base for a more active holiday, Sunrise apts is ideal.

great for a short stay

We stayed for 3 nights and they were great. On a hillside overlooking the small town of Kalyves, so it had amazing views over Souda Bay. Really clean and comfortable, staff were very helpful. We would stay here again if in the area.

Sunrise ligger på höjden i Kalyves men ändå inte alltför långt(5min) från strand & centrum. Hotelområdet är långt & skönt och våran uteplats hade utsikt mot havet. Personalen var väldigt tillmötesgående och hjälpte oss att beställa hämtmat en kväll. Kalyves passar utmärkt för den som vill ha en lugn & sjön semester. Enda nackdelen var att Internet inte räckte till rummet om det nu är en nackdel !

Beau Séjour au Sunrise Suite de Kalyves

Hotel à taille humaine où l'accueil est très chaleureux et ne manque pas de personnalité. On est loin des grand resorts sans charme et déshumanisé. Ici, le personnel est très accueillant et à votre écoute ce qui ajoute un petit quelque chose en plus au séjour. La situation de l'hotel lui offre un beau point de vue sur sa région, très agréable dès le matin au petit déjeuner. A recommander chaudement.

Exceptionally helpfull staff

Had a big problem trying to access our e-mail accounts thus could'nt print out boarding passes. Dimitri (manager) spent ages helping us on internet and we finally got it sorted. Dimitri and Katerina treat you like family. I doubt you'd get better service anywhere.

Great place to stay and relax

We were only able to stay one night, but from the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed and our studio was spacious with a great veranda over looking the sea. We could park the car under cover (helpful with a hot sun). The facilities were spotless and the pool very appealing

Erinomainen palvelu

Loistava palvelu ensitiedustelusta lähtöpäivän aamuun saakka. Aamupala oli monipuolinen ja hyvä. Kuvaukset hotelllin kotisivulla vastasivat todellisuutta. Hotelli sijaitsee rinteessä Kalivesin yläpuolella ja huoneen terassilta oli loistavat näkymät kylään ja Soudan lahdelle.

Delightful Holiday

Fantastic views, wonderful service, friendly people, nice food, inexpensive, simple clean rooms, bed and linen changed every 2 days, lovely clean swimming pool, 5m walking distance to beach (uphill and therefore perhaps not suitable for those mobility problems). Village on the beach has everything you need. Not crowded. Great weather and all in all the best family holiday we have had.

Flott utsikt over Souda-bukten med solnedgangen. Rent og pent bassengområde med bar som er åpen når du trenger det. Meget hyggelig betjening og rask service. Kort avstand til sentrum. Ligger i en skråning over byen. Kan anbefales.
