Top Appalachian Plateau Hotel Reviews

Wyndham Grand Pittsburgh Downtown
6/10 Okay
"Older building that could use a refresh. Carpet in hallways and room was disgusting and loose. Major trip hazard. “Upgraded” to a jr suite and it was a waste of money. Saggy pull out couch and a few extra square feet weren’t worth the $100+ a night. Bathroom was tiny, water pressure was minimal. WiFi was slow, hard to work. Huge TV, but half the stations wouldn’t stay tuned in. Had to go to bar to watch games."

"Breakfast was great with large window for guests’ convenience. Room was nice and big, divided bathroom was nice. Folks were friendly….all good."

"The fridge in my room froze my yogurt and water. I have tried to change the settings but it didn't help. Also the fridge initially stood on a metal rack, which vibrated so loudly, I had to put it on the floor"

Postcard Cabins Hocking Hills, Outdoor Collection by Marriott Bonvoy
8/10 Good
"The cabins were super cute and picturesque! We had our own private outdoor space with a fire ring, chairs and picnic table. Wood for our entire stay was provided, as well as daily s’mores boxes! There was water/snacks and coffee in the rooms and nice shampoo/conditioner and body wash for the showers. There were camping style dishes, knives, can opener, silverware, pots and pans. Pretty much everything you will need.
The cabin was pet friendly and provided pet bowls and even a lead outside to keep your pet from wandering off. The tiny cabin made great use of space. There was a mini kitchen, mini fridge and lots of cubby space and cabinets. There were also books and a deck of cards, which we used! The cabin had a large picture window adjacent to the bed with a great view of the woods! The rate was very affordable! Overall, great value for the money and a nice niche in the “glamping” world. The staff was amazing and very customer service forward! They communicated with us prior to our stay, gave great directions for checking in and texted daily. They were extremely responsive to our needs and texts. I only 4 stars on Google primarily due to the bed being so uncomfortable. I did not sleep well and woke with back aches. The pillows were too small and one was really hard. Also, we knew it was a tiny cabin, but it was really super small and we were tripping over each other. Had to brush teeth in kitchen sink. There was only a tiny mirror and no microwave. Just not for me. "

Springhill Suites by Marriott Pittsburgh North Shore
8/10 Good
"The hotel and rooms were clean. The staff was pleasant and informative. The breakfast staff was especially energetic and efficient. Great location. I guess $ 27 for parking is the new norm. The only issue is the condition of the bathroom. The tub and shower fixtures are visibly and functionally worn out. After we took our shower the fixture dropped all night. The breakfast was fresh and what you would expect."
