"Great room, amenities and food. The property is not brand new but it was very well maintained and everything was clean and in excellent condition. The pools were all very clean and well maintained, the beach was incredible and the food was excellent. Great location and you must go check out the lake which was 5 mins away. "Great central location to downtown Xania. The staff though is what made it excellent. I wish I could list them all by name! If you go, engage the staff. They will give you recommendations for some unique experiences besides the beaches and souvenir stores. Thank you all! P.S. There is a killer hole-in-the-wall, mom and pop type of gyro stand across the street. They make them right, unlike the some of the attempts in the USA."

"I absolutely loved my stay here. The location is beautiful, nestled into the mountains and a short drive to Samaria Gorge and the White Mountains. There is an incredibly sweet local/rural vibe that feels very safe to walk around and see the local goats and sheep. The breakfast and meals here are incredible, some of the best meals I had in Crete. The rooms are basic but very clean."

"Everything was simply perfect. From the beautiful pool-access room to the exceptional kindness and hospitality of the staff, every detail felt special. The hotel manager personally walked us to the dining room on our first visit, and Nikos from one of the hotel’s impressive restaurants was absolutely amazing. The spa is also fantastic and even offers hairdressing services. Simply wow. If you’re visiting Crete, don’t miss the chance to stay at OROS. An unforgettable experience!"

"The hotel catered for what you want. We came here thinking it was 5 star all inclusive but in fact it was more like a 4 star. You need to upgrade to get the branded alcohol, or water in bottles. It’s definitely geared towards alcohol. The food is good. There isn’t much to eat throughout the day in terms of snacks. Ice cream in tubs and homemade sandwiches. The pool is lovely and the views are fab. The vibe is nice. Hospitality is lovely and people enjoy themselves. The pool is the best part for me. Mr Marx at customer relations is fantastic. He is friendly, helpful and very personal. He takes an interest in you and remembers things you’ve spoken about and is really informative. All hotels should have someone like him. And he speaks 7 languages!!"
