"Hotel located on a rugged beach surrounded by impressive dunes. The service was fantastic and the food delicious but we left a little underwhelmed. The dining room is devoid of character with very bright lighting and spindly chairs. This does not create a warm and enchanting atmosphere to enjoy dinner. Also the prices for drinks were very steep. 25 € for a martini seemed excessive. Our last night we shared a fish for dinner, it was good but 100€ for a fish that just came out of the sea also felt...

"We had a great time staying at this place for more than two weeks, which was made possible by an affordable price. Charming room in a 200 years old building in the center of Iglesias. "L'Abete is a lovely, quiet place. Manager Marco was superb, really a fine, nice person who make me feel welcome and who wanted to be as helpful as he could. I was without a car, and L'Abete is a quarter to a half mile away from the nearest good restaurants and sites. But it was a nice stay; and even better if you want some quiet rest time!"

As seen in brochure and all photos of the property they give prominence to the pool, but visiting the place in the last week of June and they tell you the pool is not in use, does not look nice at all.
