We couldn’t understand why the place was mostly empty, but we stayed mid-week, and the place clearly caters to Italians (even the spa menu was only in Italian). The air-conditioning in the room was not very strong and very noisy, but otherwise very nice room. "

We considered staying in Paestum to be close to the great temples but knowing that La Mortella was only 20 minutes away convinced us to try something different during our Italia tour. beds, bedding and pillows. We all slept really badly because of that, a comfortable bed should be a minimum requirement surely. "

Needless to say, neither was present.
I was told that the Aircon was “Manual” and that they would send a technician. Of course they never did during the entire week.

"When we first got to the property, after the hotel arranged for a Mercedes Van to pick us up from the train station. The back doors are wide open in the lobby. You feel like you’re about to walk out into the clouds. This hotel is a boutique hotel that is spacious and clean. The breakfast was lovely and overlooking the Amalfi coast was dream like. The staff was kind and attentive. They have their own private beach with free shuttles to the beach and town center. We loved our experience so much we plan on returning! One of the highlights of our trip! Use the public ferry’s to get to Positano (a must see) and other neighboring towns for only 10 euros per person- a cab ride is 140 euros to Positano from the hotel. The rooms were clean/spacious but the beds and bedding could be softer. Still we would highly recommend!"

The location is unbeatable ,close to everything, especially the train station and the ferry port, which made getting around super easy. "The hotel and surroundings, along with the view, are all beautiful. The only thing I would say that needs improvement is the WIFI….Myself and my colleagues all had issues connecting in the rooms due to very weak signal. All in all, however, this was a very nice stay and I would recommend."
