Our family loved being hosted by Werner und Carlos. We found ourselves in a jam with unexpectedly having to vacate a reservation elsewhere and luckily found their family room that accommodated the 5 of us absolutely perfect. The host are terrific about helping you navigate places to visit. I highly recommend adding on the breakfast. The guys put out a fantastic spread and spoil you. This was my first experience with a B&B type stay and it was outstanding.

Great location if you want to stay near the lake with a great view plus with the mountain. Both host were both amazing great customer service and offered great suggestions of attractions in the local area without breaking the bank. Highly recommended!

Amazing stay! We recommend anyone who visiting la fortuna area to stay at this. The entire Casa is so amazing with a view on the lake. All amenities are there.

We stayed in the new Royal Coop. This place is AWESOME. The owner is great, the breakfasts he makes are UNBELIEVABLE, varied, beautiful, delicious. The lake is a short drive or reasonable walk away and is free, not at all crowded, and a delight to swim. But the most incredible feature is the Coop itself - more like a free-standing deluxe and superbly designed bird watching experience. Sit on the shaded deck and observe- and hear- birds ranging from numerous species of hummingbirds to groups of very friendly and social turkey vultures, toucans, oropedolas, magpie jays, laughing falcons, and scores of others. Wake with the roosters and you’ve got a good chance of seeing the sun rise behind the Arenal Volcano. We loved this place.

My entire family liked the room we stayed in and the area. The hosts were wonderful. They gave a lot of information about the places to visit and also went the extra mile to get us reservations at a few attractions. We have already decided to stay here again on our next visit to Costa Rica.

Amazing and homey Bnb
I stayed a week at this bnb and immediately felt welcomed by Carlos and Werner and noticed the cleanliness and details of their home. The service was excellent and they both were friendly and provided great recommendations of places to eat and check out. Adding the daily breakfast to my stay was a bonus and I was never disappointed with the delicious dishes that Carlos made. This bnb felt very comfortable homey and was exactly what I needed for my last week in Costa Rica.I would absolutely recommend and stay again next time I visit!

Werner and Carlos are very friendly hosts. They provided us with multiple excellent recommendations of places to visit . Their breakfasts are amazing! The accommodation was very comfortable and met all our needs as a family of 4. The location is very convenient: secluded, but at the same time close to everything.

Hosts went above and beyond to think of every detail. The bathtub was nice after a long couple days of traveling. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Would definitely stay again if in the area!

We stayed here for our first 3 nights in Costa Rica. Carlos and Werner were fantastic hosts. They offered advice for our daily activities, were very warm and welcoming, and if you're hesitating on taking the breakfast, DO IT! The B&B is located in a safe neighbourhood and a short drive to the bank, sodas and gas station. If you have a car, it is a beautiful drive to La fortuna and to Monteverde from their location. Great hidden gem
We booked this place as a halfway point between La Fortuna & Monteverde for only one night, which we regretted because this place is great! The online photos don’t do it justice. We booked the Superior King Room. The owners, Werner and Carlos, did a fantastic job with their home renovation. Details were definitely not overlooked when they set this up as a high value Airbnb. From the awesome freestanding bathtub to the high quality bath towels, this was a perfect place to relax and enjoy a long hot shower & bath for my wide & I. The shower area featured a rainfall shower head and a regular shower head with plenty of hot water for us to use. The bathroom included a toilet stool, individual toothpaste tubes & mouthwash on their their double vanity. We also loved the separate super soft makeup towels & cute toothbrush holders. The bedroom had a super comfy couch, a huge TV (80” I think) and a super comfy bed with equally comfy pillows. It gave access to a patio/balcony area with a seating area and a small fridge. Because we drove their at night, we had no idea how beautiful Lake Arenal is so we woke up to a surprisingly beautiful view of the lake and surrounding mountainside. This is where we both knew we would regret not staying longer but we had plans already set. The owners also gave us great activity recommendations also. We will def stay here again, hopefully sooner than later

Best place in Costa Rica , and we are at our 4th stop. Room was excellent, breakfast by Carlos great and different every day. Werner (also an owner) was our guide for several days and was a wealth of information. These 2 are born for the hospitality business, truly caring people, we felt like family, and we were treated as such. Lake Arenal has little access due to the "ICE" ownership of the entire shoreline, but there are some places to access the water and various water activities . The weather was not cooperative, but we still enjoyed our stay and visited many of the areas and attractions there. The town is small , but has lots of good choices to eat If you have any interest in Lake Arenal, don't stay anywhere else!

We can't say enough about how spectacular the B&B is and how wonderful our stay was. Our hosts, Warner and Carlos, greeted us at our car and welcomed us into their home/B&B. We felt as though we were staying in a 5 Star hotel. The breakfasts were elegant/amazing and wonderful tasting. Carlos is an amazing cook. Warner and Carlos had many ideas for how to spend our time in the area as well as providing tidbits of information to help the visiting traveler. Their suggestions for dining in the area and activities proved spot-on every time. It was well worth staying 45 minutes outside of La Fortuna in their spectacular B&B.

Book it now! You won’t be disappointed!
Carlos and Werner couldn’t be more welcoming. Great location for many activities. Accommodation was as described and more. Breakfast - definitely book breakfast - absolutely scrumptious. Hosts went out of their way to help with restaurants, bookings for activities and routes for our journeys. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely book for longer next time we visit.

Highly recommend for a comfortable stay
My husband and I had a wonderful three night stay at Casa Donna Rosa. The room was well appointed with a huge TV, fluffy towels and a stunning panoramic view of the lake. The B&B is in a beautiful part of the country and has a few nice restaurants to choose from. We did not have a car and were able to walk to town for food. Carlos and Werner are friendly and accommodating hosts. We much appreciated the transport to the airport and recommendations for local attractions and dining. They also serve a filling, five star breakfast we will be longing for when we return home.

I loved everything about this unique place, from the attention given by the host ( Carlos and Werner) to the cleanliness of the rooms; each room is amazing and unique. The details in the bathrooms, bedrooms and also the views from the room of the lake surroundings. Great hosts with an attention to detail!
what makes this place a gem are the wonderful hosts. They are super friendly and helpful in every way. We arrived late after a long day of travel on our way to Arenal area and were absolutely delighted to see Casa Donna. Our breakfast was spectacular (we arrived on a sweet day. I only wish we stayed 2 nights to see the savory day) with coffee that never stopped coming out on the patio with warm milk. Super clean, full of amenities like dental kit, huge beach towels for the pool, mouthwash, etc. The family hiked down the hill to a valley where we saw banana trees, birds, and all kinds of jungle foliage we hadn’t seen before. A great experience and a great start to our trip.

More than we expected!! This was such a cute place with everything we needed and more. The hosts, Carlos & Werner made our stay special. From the minute we entered, they were very welcoming and helpful. They provided us tips, recommendations and even booked our activities for us. The best part was the breakfast every day, delicious!!! Carlos gets down in the kitchen and Werner is the perfect host. Every morning we would wake up excited to see what was for breakfast, sat in their patio and enjoyed the beautiful view. The room was very clean, better than hotel rooms. It had everything we needed, shampoo, lotion, toothbrush, etc. Attention to detail is everything there, they love and enjoy what they do and it’s noticeable. Can’t wait to go back and stay with them again. Thanks for everything guys!

Better than a five star hotel! Exquisite attention to detail makes this a perfect piece of paradise. There was a unique breakfast for every day of your stay, freshly made by Carlos with ingredients such as bananas from the back yard and cheese from the local farm. Advice, guidance or just a good conversation on the balcony overlooking a tropical sunset over the lake are always at hand. Werner and Carlos are the perfect hosts going out of their way to provide hints, tips and guidance suitable for any taste. We will definitely stay here again, and so should you if you’re planning a trip to the Arenal region

Awesome stay!!
The hosts of this Air B&B were absolutely amazing! This place is gorgeous. The hardest part is getting there. The decour is so creative and tasteful. My friend and I loved this place. Everything was spotless. The included breakfast was delicious. The hosts really know what they are doing! We have had rice and eggs for breakfast everyday of our stay in costa rica. But these guys made amazing french toast. A+++ for hospitality. A+++ for cleanliness and presentation. The lookout is awesome too! Definitelly a place we would stay again! The hosts even gave recommendations to the best hot springs and coffee tours. They definitely know what they are talking about. A really lovely stay! Thank you guys so much!! Pura Vida :)

Carlos und Werner sind sehr aufmerksame Gastgeber, die jederzeit ansprechbar sind für ihre Gäste und ihnen bei Bedarf jegliche individuelle Unterstützung anbieten. Die Zimmer sind mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und sehr komfortabel. Wir haben selten so gut geschlafen und uns so wohl gefühlt in einem Gästezimmer. Morgens wird man mit einem Gourmetfrühstück verwöhnt. Einfach ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt und für uns in Nuevo Arenal die erste Wahl!

Très bien, je recommande
A mi-chemin entre le volcan Arenal et Tenorio, c’est un bon compromis. Il y a 2 chambres à l’étage avec terrasse et vue sur les montagnes et 2 chambres au rdc en face de la maison principale. Petite piscine sur une belle terrasse. Place de parking gratuite. Si les propriétaires ne sont pas là, sonner et ils vont parleront via l’interphone à distance pour vous donner le digicode. Nous avons été très bien reçu. Petit déjeuner possible. Chambre « premier » moderne, très confortable et propre. Tres bonne connexion wifi. 2 grands lits, cuisine totalement équipée avec frigo, climatisation, moustiquaires aux fenêtres, salles de douche avec produits et serviettes. Tout petit centre ville : nous avons été bien reçu et bien mangé au Soda Mayi’s. Sinon il y a le restaurant Moya´s place qui semble bien.

Wir haben eine Nacht dort übernachted. Das Zimmer war sehr schön eingerichted und sehr gepflegt. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und konnten ein sehr leckeres Frühstück auf der schönen Terrasse geniessen. Sehr zum Empfehlen.
