"El Trasgu de Foncebadón was amazing. The owners of El Trasgu are wonderful and made our stay incredibly enjoyable! We love them. The room was large and comfortable. The hotel includes a restaurant, bar, and store...all inclusive. The hotel is on The Camino."

"A slightly odd place. It’s not like a standard hotel. Each “room” consists of a garage with a typical hotel room above it, you drive round and into your private garage, close the electric door and go up a private stairs to a small landing outside your room, there is a door into the overall building but this is for staff only. Guests always come and go via their garage. The hotel doesn’t provide any food or drink options but within a few minutes walk is a 24/7 motorway service station with a very nice cafe servicing good quality and value food. There is also a small shop attached. It was a very convenient and secure parking for our motorbikes and overall a pleasant stopover. "
"Good value hotel for our overnight stay. Room was spacious, beds comfortable. Didn't have breakfast. Bedroom lacked a wastebin and hairdryer is a bit old school. Bag storage available, 20 minute walk to ghe station. McDonald's are across the road if you're desperate :)

"Stayed here after coming off the Camino soaked to the bone.
It’s an interesting place where the owner/operator seems to have several smaller properties. When you ring the doorbell he comes to meet you from an adjacent property to check you in and give you your keys.
He and his wife also serve a great breakfast (additional charge) at a nearby property.
You get two physical keys, one for the front door and one for the room although there was another lock on the vestibule serving our room and an adjacent one. I mention this as those locks take some gettin used to which way to turn and how far.
All in all a great stay in a cute little town."

What are holiday rentals like in Arlanza?
Holiday rentals are privately owned properties you can book for a few days, or a quick weekend, in Arlanza. Holiday rentals provide amenities such as patios, hot tubs and fire pits so you'll have all the conveniences of home. If you're concerned about a sanitised environment, a holiday rental can provide a sense of safety away from public hotel lifts and bustling concierge desks while still allowing you to travel. You'll also find more space in a holiday rental than in a hotel, which is another reason why a holiday rental is a great choice for a family trip or a small group gathering.
