Hellaby Hall Hotel, BW Signature Collection

8/10 Good

"A bit tired decor but decent sauna and steam room. Shame there isn’t really anywhere to sit by the pool other than 2 chairs. Staff were helpful. Good breakfast. Good value for the price we paid."

Mercure Barnsley Tankersley

8/10 Good

"Small issues. The bed was comfy and the pillows were amazing. Noise was the only problem. There was music playing way past 12am. Lack of air con didn’t bother us. The bath drain was blocked had to start stop the shower a few times. That wasn’t pleasant. But the room and beddings were very clean."

The Earl of Doncaster Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"Staff very welcoming and informative. Helped with my VIP Expedia extra benefit drink, which was lovely and unexpected. Interior of the hotel is a beautiful thing to see. The rooms were clean, spacious and the biscuit selections in the rooms were on point. Parking was free and electric charging points were also free. Very happy to recommend and stay again if I’m in the area"

Hex Wildlife Hotel

8/10 Good

"It was ok. Room was on the small side and underwhelming view of 'the park' if you wake early, you can see the penguins. However, the park was EXCEPTIONAL and we had a great day. Hotel was ok, There was a staffing problem with the Kitchen but when the food came out it was lovely. Hotel reception staff could have been a little more helpful when income to recommending where to eat. Would stay again, but only if there was an offer on the room price. Air conditioning didnt work"

Holiday Inn Express Rotherham North by IHG

10/10 Excellent

"Good budget hotel with good size rooms. The bathroom is also roomy with a large shower . This is essentially a business hotel but contains a sofa bed as well as the double , it has a desk and a comfortable office chair the room had easy access tp two lifts . The staff are helpful and friendly the dining and seating areas are near reception which is clean and has plenty of light . The breakfast was buffet and very good ,they also have a dining menu which we did not use . The hotel has good WiFi and free parking . The location was also good 5-6 miles from Barnsley ,with a supermarket opposite and easy access to low cost restaurants and fast food outlets . The hotel is also very close to a country park . A few niggly problems ,our last stay at a different Holiday Inn the sink had no plug ,this one had one but it was broken . There was a problem with the electrical socket but we were moved to a different room . Also found the air condition a little noisy at night . Yes we liked this hotel"
