The club, founded in 1958, is in the vicinity of Herdringen Castle, in the middle of beautiful countryside. A singular experience is a short trip to Schloss Arnsberg, probably built around the year 1100. The ruins on the 256 m high Schlossberg are those of the Renaissance castle destroyed in 1762 during the Seven Years War.
