"The grounds were beautiful. We were able to check in our room right away. I was a VIP so I received a free bottle of wine. That was ready right at check-in. However, I was a little disappointed that I wasn’t given an option of red or white wine. I’m not a red wine drinker and they only had red wine. So it was a waste. We ate at The View restaurant and the service was a damper. It took about 30 minutes for someone to take our order after I had to speak with someone. They blamed it on a communication error. On the other hand, the food and the views were good. The room was nice and spacious and gave a lot of pillows which I liked. The swimming area was nice and clean. Great location to the boardwalk. Overall me and my family loved it and will be back. "

"I enjoyed the view. The receptionist was very friendly. The house was amazing. I did not like the bracelet we had to wear it made me feel out of placed. A lot of people didn’t have bracelet i understand they live there or own it. The people with no bracelets were not as friendly. There needs a better way"

"Our stay at Comfort Inn Monterey was great! We arrived around 2:30 PM just to check on our reservation since I knew check-in time was at 3 PM. To my surprise, the receptionist told us our room was already ready, so we were able to check in early! The room was spacious, and everything was working well: the bathroom, fridge, microwave, AC, etc. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby, and the hotel has a sauna, which was a nice bonus. Breakfast was great too, a continental buffet with plenty of options. Another plus is the location: Old Fisherman’s Wharf, Lover’s Point, and the scenic 17-Mile Drive are all just about 15–20 minutes away. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay!"

"Service was outstanding, staff was excellent, weight. Staff in dining room was very good. I understand the hotel changed owners recently. Upgrades they need in the room I was in the shower surround needs to be replaced. The bed was too soft, the bottom fitted sheet is the wrong size for the mattress. It does not stay, smooth and sleek. I didn’t appreciate the nightly rate and felt it was exorbitant. I do understand it was graduation week. I would like to know if the rate would have been different had I booked directly with the hotel. The person who made my reservation used hotels.com. "
