"It was good enough. Clearly working on remodeling. Breakfast was above average. No regular housekeeping, you have to go to the front desk and request any needs. Parking is horrible especially in pouring down rain. Staff very friendly. Small little bar with limited selections but again good enough. "

8/10 Good
"I could tell they have done some renovations to rooms and hallways; new carpets and furnishings, however, pool area needs lots of work and deep cleaning. Outside could use a fresh coat of paint and cleaning. Lots of drywall repairs needed in common areas."
"Breakfast was decent. Eggs, waffles, hash browns were available daily. They changed the meat daily between sausages, ham and bacon so that was good.
Problem is pool not working, got closed by the State as of middle of March. Doesn’t look like hotel is very urgently working to get part so pool can pass and be useable again. Fitness room was basic but everything worked. Cleaning staff will clean room and empty garbage whenever you request it, as well as clean rest of your room."
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Bloomington - Normal by IHG
4/10 Poor
"For $200 a night I don't expect perfection, but at the very least expect a clean room and a hotel that is in decent condition. The hotel itself is a little more beat up than other Holiday Inn Express sites I have stayed in. The manager was friendly and accommodating so absolutely no issues there. My main issue was the cleanliness of the room. Upon entry, room 111 was musty/stuffy and felt damp. The bed was clean but there were ants in the room that eventually made their way to the bed the next morning. There were greasy fingerprints on just about every hard surface, so it was clear the room had not been properly cleaned. The bathroom was also dirty, shower floor was nasty and there was hair on the shower wall and on the shampoo bottles (not ours..we hadn't used it yet). The breakfast was decent with a fair amount of options and the coffee was good. The room doors slam HARD and fast which did wake us up a couple times. There is no reason for a room door to slam that hard. Overall I would not recommend this hotel if you value a clean room and a good night's sleep. There are plenty of better options in the area. "
"Arrived for a four day stay and was not told there was no internet service ….apparently the manager maybe would look at it on Monday when we were leaving. I left my contact info and very disappointed since I am from Canada and had no USA data
I am trying to contact them for compensation ….everything else okay but…."
