"We had a 1-night layover in Athens, and this was a great option for us as we did not want to go into the city of Athens overnight. Instead we wanted a hotel close to the airport, and ideally one located close to the ocean. The Avra is the perfect mix. It's located in Rafina, a seaside fishing town/suburb, that is also one of the two main ports for ferries to the Greek islands. Friendly staff, nice restaurant and bar, and charming, walkable neighborhood with a pedestrian plaza just a block away. Dozens of dining options, particularly seafood, within a 5 minute walk, and a popular beach bar as well. We really enjoyed our stay. Shoutout to Illya in the Avra restaurant for his great service, and suggestions of things to do in Rafina."

"Property is “grand”. Location is not tourist friendly. We needed to call down for a few customer service issues and each time staff never picked up. Pool area,( rooftop) needs to provide more shade! Umbrellas perhaps? "
