In the middle of the desert, the town resembles a truck stop: gigantic trains rumbling through, field of disused aircraft, huge wind farm, windy, windy, windy. It’s also a convenient place to stop on the way up the Sierra. Sierra Motor Lodge has been an excellent stopover. Clean, comfortable, convenient."
