However, the saving grace is the hotel's management, who went above and beyond in providing excellent service. On the night we checked-in, torrential rain made it impossible to go out and get dinner. Staff members drove us in their 4x4 to a restaurant, patiently waited for us, and drove us back. Wow, that blew me away! They just really need better access, but remember, it's Madagascar. You didn't come here for world-class infrastructure."
