Great place to stay, modern room and great food at the pub next door. Staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for you. Great walks only a few minutes away. Road A515 in and out of Ashbourne was noisy with hgv’s. Definitely stay again and highly recommend. B

Welcoming Hotel in Great Location

A lovely, comfortable hotel. A good location overlooking Ashbourne with plenty of parking in the pub carpark across the road. The bedroom and bathroom were warm and cosy during a very cold night. Complimentary milk, soft drinks and water in refrigerator - a wonderful touch. The breakfast in the adjoining pub was delicious. Will definitely be returning

Late valentine night away

A late Valentines night away. We stayed in the superior room which had everything you could ask for. The Bath tub is a must and the spa facilities were perfect to unwind after a freezing cold day! We dinned in the Bowling Green for tea and breakfast. Location is ideal right next door The steaks were lush, and the potato hash for breakfast you need to try! Staff and service was amazing. Will definitely come back again.

A small and luxurious hotel

A great small hotel hidden away in Ashbourne. Clean rooms, Comfortable beds and a real little bit of genuine luxury. The small basement spa was a great little addition.

A lovely weekend break

The room was lovely and we loved the hot tub. Didn't manage to go to the Bowling Green for dinner as it was fully booked - but it looked really nice, so I'd recommend reserving a table in advance!

We had a lovely stay at the stables. The room was clean with lovely decor and everything we needed was available and more! The hot tub was lovely and the robes and slippers were a nice touch. We got room service and had breakfast the following morning and the food was delicious. We would absolutely recommend!

Everything you'd want in an overnight stay

A great location for visiting this lovely market town. Really nicely appointed and furnished room with everything we needed including the added luxury of a hot tub. We had breakfast and lunch at The Bowling Green pub attached and had one of their famed pizzas delivered to our room. Staff were really pleasant and very helpful. A fantastic stay all round.

We stayed in a superior room with access to the lovely spa. The rooms are large and well maintained with complimentary soft drinks in the fridge. We ate at the pub next door, lovely steak and fantastic staff. Also very close to the George at Alstonefield which is a beautiful fine dining pub.

This place was amazing, finished to a very high spec. The bed was fabulous, coffee facilities first class & the cedar tub on the private balcony with woodland views divine. I will return ☺️

Lovely but be aware of the road noise

The room was excellent but we didn’t realise there was a main road just outside and when your trying to relax in the hot tub it’s very noisy but overall we had a nice stay

What a fantastic find! Excellent rooms which have been finished to a very high spec with fantastic fixtures and fittings. Staff were very welcoming and made our stay superb. We hadn’t booked breakfast, but the lovely girl on reception arranged room service of a delicious breakfast of our choice. Cannot recommend this place enough and we will definitely be coming back!

Amazing

Amazing! We came to relax and did exactly that. The room was beautiful, then there’s the extra details such as the nespresso machine, bottled water in the fridge, luxury toiletries, super comfy bed with a pop up tv. The deck was private with a freshly filled Japanese hot tub. The pub next door offers room service which we took advantage of for our evening meal and also for breakfast, the food was delicious and the staff were lovely. We'll definitely be back.

An amazing evening away!

What a stunning place to stay!! The room was a double deluxe which came with its own hot tub. The room was exceptionally clean & felt like there was no expense spared from the little touches of complimentary drinks/milk, to the heated flooring in the bathroom! The staff were really friendly and helpful. And to top it off, the breakfast at the bowling green next door was incredible! The location was perfect for a morning walk to dovedale steeping stones.
