The stay was very pleasant Great location and easy walk to center of downtown. The owners were very gracious and the the guests were equally nice. The only negatives were as follows. When you switch on the bathroom light the fan also comes on. It was very loud and should be separately switched. Also the carpet should be vacuumed daily.
The breakfast was extremely well prepared and outstanding. Overall the experience was a positive one.

At the time of booking a bed-and-breakfast I thought that breakfast would be included and be prepared by cook. But I got breakfast in a bag in refrigerator to take to my room. If I would’ve known prior to booking the bed and breakfast I would’ve not to stay there.
Very nice 'picnic' breakfast due to covid regs. We had enough for breakfast, and saved the rest for lunch while hiking in the area. Super hosts, super clean, great stay.
My husband and I just returned from an anniversary trip to Asheville, and we couldn't be happier with our choice to stay at Chestnut Street Inn! Everything about our entire stay was just perfect - from the seamless late night check-in, the beautiful Wall Street room we stayed in, the incredible 2-course gourmet breakfast served each morning, and the spot-on recommendations provided by the innkeepers, Emilie and Arturo. Our trip simply wouldn't have been the same had we stayed anywhere else! This was our first trip Asheville and first time staying at the Chestnut Street Inn, but it will certainly not be our last!
Excellent B&B. Emelie and Arturo were excellent hosts, very friendly and obviously are very knowledgeable about the area. The accommodation was very clean and the breakfasts were delicious! We would definitely stay there again.
A beautiful and characterful property well located in a quiet neighbourhood only a short walk from the town centre and with easy access to the main highways. Emilie and Arturo were so helpful, friendly and generous, providing courtesy drinks, treats and homemade cookies.
Wish we stayed closer and could visit more often
My wife and I had a wonderful experience at the Chestnut Inn. The owners welcomed us into the Bed & Breakfast and then took us on a tour explaining where everything was. Bed & Breakfast was very clean. Short walk to downtown Asheville. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
The Chestnut Street Inn is a gem. It checks all the boxes. Historic Inn with all the modern comforts - we stayed in the Biltmore Room with a two person Jacuzzi tub and heated tile bathroom floor. Great breakfasts - each day was something different but always delicious. Great hosts - Arturo was friendly and gave us many great recommendations for dinner, hikes and other activities in and around Asheville. Great location - we walked to dinner in downtown Asheville every evening. The inn is also very convenient to the highways so it was really easy to drive to more distant places. Altogether our stay at the Chestnut Street Inn was a 5-Star experience.
The property is exceptionally well maintained. One can feel, smell and see the owner's love for detail. The breakfast by itself is worth the stay. I've hardly ever felt that much at home outside my own four walls.
The location is in a quiet and safe neighborhood, though downtown Asheville is about a 15 minutes hike (downhill) away. The rooms are decorated with antiques and lovely knick-knacks, though the space is confined, as are the bathrooms.
what was truly unique about the place is the people who own the inn.
Delightful, caring, very concerned about each visitor. they went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had good info about the restaurants and activities in the area.
The Inn was gorgeous and very tastefully and meticulously done. For e.g. the coffee mugs were branded , and the breakfast table was laid with fine cutlery and the rooms were equipped with robes and toiletries. The host Emilie and Arturo were both warm and welcoming. They made us feel like they knew us for a long time. Emilie's restaurant suggestions helped us create memorable dining experiences. We will be going back again soon.
A great place to stay! This was an anniversary trip for my wife and I, and we were looking for some fun things to do during our first trip to the Asheville area. The owners, Emilie and Arturo, were super friendly and went above and beyond to provide us with great recommendations for hiking trails, brewery tours, restaurants, wine bars, etc. The Chestnut Street Inn was very inviting and there was always a batch of fresh cookies waiting for us each time we came in and went out. Breakfast was fabulous! Each morning Emilie had a fun, short story to tell about the dish she prepared. Also, my wife and I really appreciated that all the guests sat at the same table for breakfast, as everyone was able to share their travel stories and recommendations. We highly recommend this b&b!
Such a charming little B&B with 8 rooms. Owner run the Inn and couldn't be friendlier and more hospitable. The location is perfect as it's close to downtown but on a quiet residential street. We were very pleased with our stay and would definitely return. I highly recommend this B&B for your stay while in Asheville.
We cannot recommend the Chestnut Street Inn enough; from beginning to end, it was a pleasure, and the owners were models of courtesy and kindness. The house itself is gorgeous, and in immaculate condition. The room was perfectly sized, with a comfortable bed, remote-controlled fireplace (really!), and perfect amenities. The breakfast was varied and served with a chef's flair. The owners Emilie and Arturo provided personalized service for each guest and were a wealth of knowledge about this fantastic area of the country. All in all, we've found our new base for our next visit to Asheville. Highly recommended.
My husband and I had a memorable three days during Christmas at the Chestnut Street Inn. The inn itself is historic and beautifully maintained. Emily and Arturo are the owners and they do a fabulous job of making each guest feel special. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at home. Altough the inn itself is lovely, Emily and Arturo really are the key to making it a sanctuary for your stay.
Greeted by very gracious and friendly innkeepers. Tasty homemade afternoon snacks and wine. Warm and charming inn. Quiet location, but just a few minute walk to downtown. Nicely apportioned room. Fireplace was a welcome amenity. Gourmet breakfast. Would definitely visit again.
Emilie and Arturo are great hosts! They were very gracious and willing to make changes to suit my dietary restrictions. Emilie even invited my daughter to eat breakfast with the rest of the guests and myself, since I was staying by myself in the room. The room was very comfortable and clean. I enjoyed my stay at the Inn very much.
Arturo and Emilie, the owners and hosts, are delightful and generous with their time and terrific suggestions for experiencing Asheville. Their rooms are bright and comfortable. Their breakfasts are superb!
We just returned from 3 nights in Asheville and highly recommend the Chestnut Inn. Emilie and Arturo made our stay so amazing, from the comfort and warmth of the inn, to their amazing knowledge and recommendations from food to breweries to hikes. We loved the most lovely time and will definitely return!

Dear Emilie and Arturo,
Thank you very much for a wonderful stay at Chestnut Street Inn. We were so impressed with everything!
The reception when we arrived was great. It was like "coming home" to somebody and the same hospitality lasted for the whole stay, two days.
The hotel placed in a quiet street with, beautiful garden around and porches with rocking chairs where we could sit and enyou a cup of tea. The room was clean, beautiful and cosy. The breakfast was amazing, tasty and delicate. We realy enjoyed sitting around the table together with the other guests, just like a family.
You also helped us finding our way in Asheville, both where to go and where to eat.
Again, thank you very much. We would love to come back.
All the best from
