"This day was very nice. Everything was clean. The reception is very friendly. The managers own staff was very good. I do have an issue with the lady in cafeteria. I guess that’s what it’s called. Didn’t get her name walk in because they serve breakfast and came down and she just stared me up and down and didn’t even speak but she’s an employee so I asked I waited and I said hello. She looked at me. I said well you ain’t speaking. Aren’t you in hospitality? Are you working in here? No, I don’t work here. I’m volunteer OK well I’mma let them know that you volunteering you very rude very rude so I did let the manager know and she did address it so other than that, it was a very good stay. I would love to come back again."

"Smart tv in rooms do not work"

"Stayed at this property during a recent visit to Charleston. Although we did have a few glitches with our room, the staff was attentive to our concerns and quickly made things right. The location is convenient while not quite downtown in the historic district. I give this hotel high marks for their customer service and overall hospitality - desk staff and management. "

"Oops didn’t use the pool but loved coffee and water stations, complimentary drink on check in, fireplace, sitting are Floor 2 . Will be back "

"The hotel room was lacking. There was a lot of water damage to the bathroom. The shower door wasn't sealed properly so the water leaked onto the floor and made a big mess. The lighting was lacking. A big mirror with a desk would've been a perfect place to put on makeup while somebody else was using the bathroom. Unfortunately with no lighting on that area, it was useless. I wish i would have grabbed brochures at the airport because i didn't find and until the last day we were there. They were on a desk hidden away. I didn't notice them until i walked by to avoid the line of people. The pool is outside, which is great if it was nice outside. Our hotel room keys didn't work so we had to go back to the front desk and have them rescan them. We had to wait for one of the maintenance crew to fix it. He had to go back and recreate the keys to the room before we got in. Overall, it was pkay. "

"The woman who checked us in was very brusque and standoffish. She also lied about our room being quiet as it was right on the street across from a restaurant with a loud bar at night. Our room had old AC that just had a knob that said "cool or heat" (not digital) and when we turned it to cool, it made a high-pitched sound. Thus we had to deal with a hot room in order to avoid that unpleasant sound. Otherwise, the bed and pillows were comfortable and the rest of the staff were nice."

"This property is way overpriced for the condition. The hotel is old and the bathroom had dirt around the edge of everything. The walls were patched and the vanity light was hung crooked to try to cover it, repairs were done cheaply. What you would expect in an old motel but not $175 per night. The staff on the other hand, was super nice and helpful and friendly. The lady in reception and the maintenance man, were immediately helpful when our room key stopped working. Breakfast was good too and that facility was super bright and clean. Would stay here again being pet friendly and the room itself and bed were clean just old but it probably should be closer to $120 per night."

"Loved our stay. The beds are more like fulls than queen beds and the bathroom was pretty small but we realize this is due to the time period this hotel was built. The beds although small, we're every comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is beautiful and in a great location. You can walk to many different shops, bars, and resturants. "
