Waves break along the rocky coastal shores of the Monterey Bay, at Asilomar Beach, in Pacific Grove, along the central coast of California, close the the Big Sur coast and Highway 1.

Finish the day and take a refuge at the Asilomar conference grounds which literally means asylum by the sea. There is another reason I want to experience this place too, because it was here 50 years ago that a bunch of bioscientists had a conference that started the biotech revolution.
