"The owner treated us very poorly. As soon as we arrived, he wanted to send us to another hotel because he said there was a problem (he'd given the room to someone else who was already settled in), even though I'd already paid for it in advance. The day we were leaving, he showed up screaming like a madman, saying we had to leave urgently. The hotel, the location, and the views are excellent, but the owner's mistreatment is unacceptable. "Had an idyllic stay at Chrysalis hotel. The staff was extremely kind and caring. The view of the hotel breathtaking. The location is outside of Chora which allows for calm at night, it’s a 15 minutes walk uphill to get to the center of Astypalea. I would love to come back. Huge thanks to Lena & the team to have made my stay memorable & amazing!"

"Wonderful hotel with everything you could wish for. I had a cosy, nicely furnished flat with a wonderful view of the castle and the sea from the private green terrace belonging to the flat. The kitchen was well equipped. The staff were incredibly friendly and made sure I felt comfortable. The hotel is perfectly located between the harbour with the town beach and the beautiful town with the castle on top of the hill, all within walking distance."
