"As other reviewers have said the structure is "light weight" and sound transmits through the walls quite easily. Management was very flexible for our late arrival and check out. Location is great, easy to find from the freeway, two blocks to views or coffee and shops. "

Everyone was friendly--not in a sugary, obsequious way that makes me uncomfortable--but in the easy, breezy way of Californians that helps me feel seen as a human and not just a customer. I had a lovely conversation with Rich, the manager, and was struck by the everyday kindness of even exchanging pleasantries. It all brought a homey touch to the resort. I loved my room and roaming the beautiful property--particularly, all the intentionally designed quiet places to think. Not to mention, feeding the emus and goats. For me, this impromptu solo trip was very soul healing and I believe that this was in big part because of this place. So, thank you, Allegretto. "

"I have stayed at the Madonna Inn several times and it has always been a pleasure. The staff is wonderful, the vibe of the property is serene and welcoming, and it's obvious there is a lot of love and history here. The pool is relaxing, the food is delicious, the grounds are well maintained and landscaped. Highly recommend for anyone traveling to SLO!"
