"The hotel on the inside was beautiful. I think all the rain kept the outside looking good but not great. The room was clean. The 2 table chairs were a bit odd because they didn’t match. Bathroom was exceptional. I think for a Marquis it should’ve had laminate wood flooring and not the old look carpeting. Hallway carpet is okay but for a Luxury Hotel, every room should have laminate flooring. It would have been even more special with a microwave as an upgrade room. Had issue with housekeeping cleaning the room but once I called front desk it was taken care of. I think the housekeeper on that floor got upset. You can tell because she didn’t replace pen and paper, she didn’t replace nor cleaned the glasses, nor replaced the coasters or the trash liners and the carpet was not vacuumed at all. It was still this little white piece of plastic still on the floor in the same spot when we left the room for 2 hours and came back. So it wasn’t a really good job of her cleaning the room.
That’s the only issue. So what do we receive when the customer has incidentals. Should we charge fees for that?"
