The place is pleasant and quiet. The staff is kind. The yoga teachers are good. Close to the city but not noticeable, surrounded by trees and nature. I had a great time there and got the peace and quiet I needed.

Nice oasis in the big smoke
It was a great stay. The place is an oasis in the big smoke. Was very nice park like accommodation. The people were friendly and was very welcoming. The pool and was great and the yoga classes were awesome. The glowworms were magical. the only downside was that the fire alarm went off twice in our 3 days stay. The first one was at 1:30am... not much fun.... there was no communication and we found out the next morning that the fire alarm goes off all the time and no one takes any notice anymore!! we were not impressed by that but apart from that it was a nice stay and we will go there again.

Room good. Warm. Dodgy locks. Have to walk over a wooden ramp to get to toilets. Showers hot but bathrooms not especially clean- more campsite quality. Very convenient to Albany. Peaceful and good kitchen facilities.

Bad checkin
Check in was closed even though we arrived during the day. The voice mail we received about the code to open the box with our key, gave us the wrong code. We finally were able to open the locked box, with the help of others. No one answered phone at number posted for contact with entry problems. Nice place, but the care with which checkin is done needs a lot of improvement.

Isaac's coffee bar is the best! More signs would help - too many of the short term stayers show up and wander around loudly expecting full service. It takes a day or 2 to settle into the groove.

People kept knocking on my door asking if my room was free, because reception had nobody there. My room seemed to be in the busiest place, people kept walking past at all hours of the day and night having loud conversations, and triggering the sensor light. I could hear every time people were in the communal bathroom and shower block, even at 4am.

Due to limited accomodation available in Auckland at a reasonable price my wife & I stayed here for 2 nights. Upon arriving I thought the place looked like an old commune. I grew up in NZ, & remember during the 80s & 90s the frequent news surrounding it's dark past. Please google Centrepoint & Bert Potter. I felt disgusted & unsafe.This place should have been razed to the ground. The room was filthy cinder block cell with many creepy residents from its chequered past.Expedia needs to delist this place now

I don't think the ad was clear that the bathroom was a shared bathroom. It is not a place for a busness tripper to stay for sure. Parking is also a little random and concerning as it is almost always full and you have to wait for someone to move. For travellers not doing business who want a 'youth hostel' type of experience, it's fine.
