Had a good time, there was an old biscuit that was under one of the beds and there was ants and a blow fly but the service and food was great I really enjoyed my getaway the workers were very nice and Im definitely coming back again

Fantastic ridge top location,great views of Auckland. Dining room had amazing breakfasts and excellent dinners. Wine selection wasok, but could use more NZ wines on the list. Our room-with-a-view was excellent. Would stay here again without hesitation.

We stayed in one of the two apartments. It smelt damp, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable and the couches had stains on them. Unfortunately the beautiful view didn't make up for that and the sauna didn't seem to ever get to temperature.

Stayed for 4 days very beautiful place to stay, fresh air and friendly staff. Fresh towels everyday. Gym room was good. Pool was nice too. Only gave 4 stars due to noise from other tourists in the hotel, too noisy late at night, when trying to rest. I would stay here again, thankyou.

The dinner, views and staff were all amazing. Property is showing its age but i have read in other reviews that the managers have a scheduling of works to assist. Well worth supporing through this. Super quiet and peacful!!

The grounds were absolutely stunning and the gardens immaculate. We loved the sauna and swimming pool. Unfortunately the spa was not staffed, as we stayed Monday/ Tuesday. We would definitely have booked 2 massages!!! The room we stayed in was very dated and dark. I would stay in the newer area next time.

Located in the Waitakere Ranges, this resort is in the rainforest. Our balcony provided a magnificent view of the forest and further out, the city of Auckland. A dawn chorus of NZ birds greeted us. The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The hotel is older but extremely well-kept. The staff is friendly and accommodating. If you plan to hike Arataki, Karekare Falls, Kitekite Falls, Mercer Bay Loop, or Piha Beach or plan to visit the gannet colony at Muriwai, this is the perfect place to stay. We absolutely loved it!

While the room we stayed in the first night was disappointing, after voicing our concern to expedia we were upgraded to a great room the 2nd night. Awesome view overlooking the city, spacious, nice décor, and big shower. Very comfy. Dinner at the restaurant was great, and so was the vibe of enjoying drinks in front of the fire place in the lounge. We also enjoyed massages at the spa, and got to check out the beautiful rain forest at the scenic look out (couldn't do the walk as the tree was blocking) Didn't acknowledge hubby's birthday (which is why we booked in for the weekend, and I did advise) but staff were pleasant and overall we really enjoyed our stay

Assistant from staff was excellent. We were offered a room upgrade but enjoyed the one we'd chosen, as it had lots of room and was comfortable. The complimentary body wash and moisturiser was wonderful with the manuka honey and kawakawa ingredients. We loved the quirky scenic drive from the main road. Nice views of the city.

What a hidden gem! Beautifully positioned amongst nature with fabulous views. Our room was spacious, clean, bright and airy with a gorgeous outlook towards Auckland city. The bathroom was luxurious. The restaurant served very nice meals for dinner and breakfast and friendly wait staff. We only booked for one night but would have loved to stay longer. Great spot to explore the nearby beaches of Piha and Bethels
