Demeures de campagne Château de Fontainebleau – Mercure
6/10 Okay
"We booked 3 rooms and two had no air conditioning working. Reported the fault, a man arrived, shook his head, said sorry and left. Never saw or heard of anyone again. Not bothered that it was 30 degrees in our room. Two of our three couples spend a very very uncomfortable 2 nights, one couple even had a baby with them. Nobody offered fans etc we had to eventually ask for one on the second afternoon but only the one was available for the two rooms. Would have expected some kind of apology at checkout or maybe a discount on what we thought was a very average breakfast for 19 euros each. Beautiful hotel but the discomfort stung a bit so would have to think before staying again."
Aigle Noir Hotel Fontainebleau - MGallery Collection
10/10 Excellent
"Comfortable hotel across the street from Fontainebleau palace very convenient for tourism. Plenty of nearby restaurants. Parking lot (paid) just in front of the hotel. Good breakfast"
"There was adequate room for parking available.
The staff were welcoming and helpful, there was an issue with our booking which they sorted for us.
Our room was clean and comfortable.
We had breakfast in the dining/bar area. There was a great selection of breads, crepes, preserves, cereals, sausages, eggs, ham and baked beans. I am sure I have not named all that was available. Tea, coffee and fruit juices were also available.
This is the third time we have stayed here and we would not hesitate to stay again and recommend it to others. If you are looking for a fairly priced, welcoming place to stay close to Fontainbleu this place is ideal."
"Great location to Chateau Fountainbleu - my reason for the trip.
Breakfast was very nice and beautifully set up.
Room was comfortable.
Only thing is the two flights of stairs to walk."
"The staff was lovely, the bed and pillows are very comfortable. The road noise is surprisingly quiet, but bedroom doors are quite loud. Shower pressure is a bit weak but does the job.The hotel doesn't have a restaurant so you get a voucher to eat at the nearby food places, which is helpful. Unfortunately, the iron to steam our clothes was not available anymore. The access to the hotel is a bit complicated: if you follow your navigation, it will make you use the motorway and do a back and forth. But there is an access the hotel without going through the motorway, look for road D225 out of Nemours."
