Sunset at Shorecroft. Loch Ewe is in the background. During WW2 the loch was the departure point for many of the Arctic convoys, taking war materials and food to the besieged Russian forces. This spot was the end of the boom net which protected the ships from U-boat attacks. So hard to imagine this, given how peaceful a spot it is today.
