The staff are friendly and accommodating. The self catering cabin was private, cosy and comfortable and a short walk for dinner and breakfast. The surrounding views are spectacular
Very friendly and courteous staff! It was cold outside but the room was lovely and cozy warm. Nice dinner and my breakfast was included. It is right next to the ferry dock in Gudvangen. In the morning, after breakfast I walked over to the Viking Village and did a tour there… very interesting and worth doing. The bus stop was no more than a 10 minute walk from Fjordtel and I jumped on the bus to Bergen. Thank you for your hospitality Gudvangen Fjordtel!
Had a great stay at Gudvangen Fjordtell. The location is amazing and the people were very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend staying here and not in Flam. Cruise ships cannot come into the fjord that far, so at night it is very peaceful. Easy access back and forth to Flam via the shuttle bus, or by boat.

Fabulous Stay
We truly enjoyed our stay here. The apartment for 6 was so spacious and clean. The views were spectacular. Our only problem was that we wanted to stay longer.
Really recommend stopping here for a night when doing the journey through the fjords. It was lovely to stop in a small village and visit the Viking Village as well.
The room we had was amazing, it was Viking themed and had a window to look at the stars (weather dependant!). The bed was extremely comfortable as well.
We had dinner in the restraurant as well which was good value and lovely food and a nice fireplace for drinks after dinner.
The only let down was breakfast as we went a bit later in the allocated time and there was very little choice, so recommend going earlier in the allocated time for breakfast.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would recommend .
I chose this place because the hotels in Flam were quite expensive. At first, the exterior of the hotel made me hesitate a little, but after staying here, I was pleasantly surprised. The interior was beautifully upgraded and very clean, far better than the outside appearance. The staff were also kind and helpful. The breakfast was slightly below average, but the atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. If I visit again, I would definitely stay here.
We liked.the peaceful location. It meant a 20 mins bus from Flam but was worth it. Lovely seafood restaurant on the wharf looking down the fjord. Good service and nice seafood.
We loved this hotel! The dining options were excellent, parking was easy, the Viking king room was awesome, staff were friendly. We would definitely stay again.
We really enjoyed our Viking themed room, the proximity to both the Viking Village and the dock, and the amazing mushroom soup that was on the a la carte menu.
