The property was a great find! It had everything we wanted, plus we got dinner and breakfast with our stay. It was very good food, too! The staff was helpful, as well. I definitely recommend this place to others.

It included breakfast AND dinner, and both were excellent. Really convenient. Close to everything. Only drawback was that the room was small and reminded me of a college dorm room with a bathroom. BUT, it was fine. If I return to Flam, I’d stay there in a heartbeat. Great stay. Highly recommend.

Friendly, helpful staff. Clean and quiet property. Nice local beer selection. Ask for a room on the second floor to avoid sound issues with upstairs rooms dropping luggage, dragging furniture, etc. Also, note that twin beds are not regular width but narrow like train bunks.

Clean hotel with an excellent chef. We are vegetarian and the set menu veggie option was delicious. The wifi was a bit slow.

OK, but poor value
It was a nice little hotel in a good location, but the rooms and bathrooms are tiny and the furnishings are sparse and chintzy. The food in the restaurant is OK, but the menu is limited and nothing special. Of the four places we stayed in Norway, it was easily the most expensive while being the least nice.

This hotel felt more like a BnB than a hotel. But there are only a handful of hotels here. The remoteness is not an issue anymore either as we saw people from every corner of the world. If you manage to get the view of the lake then it is worth it. They will charge you around Kr300 to get the lake view but hotels.com did not help with their overpowering advertising strategy making all rooms look twice as big in the photos. The number of pictures which you see, there will be twice as many pictures of room with a view than those without, leaving you with an impression that there is a possibility of a room with a view than without. Then, you will notice that the room without a view is dimmed by turning the lights on in the room. This is only a gimmick. It makes you think that you can get at least partial view along with the trees, etc. No. The hotel is facing the lake, the back is facing the mountain. There is room with a view or without, no in between. But if you are paying nearly $300.00 for a night, wouldn't you pay $20 extra to get the view? The hotel is also a bit off beat which is good and bad. Good because it is on a nice jogging trail with amazing photo op. Bad because it is about 15 minutes walk from the center with no directions at all. Other than that the hotel felt like a cardboard box. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Staff, well, they are friendly depending on who they are dealing with. But their attitude was not based on customer service.

Fantastic location. Excellent breakfast/dinner. Very friendly and capable staff. Thank you ! The only minus is that the bathroom and beds are extremely modest/small. Also, there are essentially no shelves/place to unpack/sort. It was adequate for one night for us, but felt cramped.

I was pleasantly surprised that dinner was included with our stay, and arguably the best meal I had in Scandivania. It’s not fancy but it’s nice, and the staff is nice as well. I enjoyed my stay in Fläm.

A perfect stay with a beautiful view. The room was on the small side for 2 people but cozy and very clean. The beds were very comfy. We didn’t get to try the dinner included with the stay but breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended!

I liked the location very much. The staff especially the lady at the reception were most responsive and helpful . Ready avaiability of coffee and hot water in the lobby. Carrying of luggage without the elevator was resolved by staff carrying my suitcase to the 2nd floor.

An A-plus experience in a quaint, well-run hotel out of the way of the heavily touristic area of Fram. Lovely views of the fjord from the room. The dinner offered with the room was excellent.

Nice little hotel
Nice little hotel with view of the fjords, short walk from Flåm main area, is a little town anyway. Bed was a bit too soft, and single beds are the small ones. Still slept ok. The dinner that is included is nice, tasty and light. Breakfast is ok. Staff very friendly. Recommended.

We loved Heimly from the moment we walked in. Greeted by Adriana she was friendly, helpful and professional. Our room had a great view of the gorgeous fjord. Property was really nice with incredible dinner each night and really nice continental breakfast. Each person on staff was warm and welcoming. We loved our stay there. Great location!

This hotel was wonderful. The staff was nice, breakfast was delicious and there was the property amenities in room. I did not like that the doors were locked as I wanted to take a very early morning hike and hate to wait for someone to come open the door. We also were not aware of the uphill location to get to the hotel and how to drag our rolling suitcases up the hill to get to the hotel. Overall we really enjoyed your hotel

Fantastic Place! Staff are so friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer. It is in a perfect location on the banks of the fjord away from the bustle of Flam itself, but only a ten minute walk. The evening meal was wonderful - well cooked and presented. Heimly has a real homely feel. I cannot recommend the place enough.

Great boutique hotel. Front desk staff was absolutely amazing. Attention was paid to every little detail. Evelyna (I don't think it's spelled this way) is the most genuine people I have come across. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful. View of Fjord from the room was impeccable.
