"This hotel has really gone downhill. It was Valentine's weekend and also the Austin Marathon was going on. The hotel booked some Texas A&M event the same weekend as well. It was at 100% capacity. This should be fine - a hotel should be able to be full and run without issues. However, it was not okay. They have six elevators of which only two were operational. TWO!!!! It took over 45 minutes to just get up to our room once we checked in (14th floor so stairs not possible with suitcases) and then when we needed to head down for dinner out (had 7:30pm reservations) we left our room at 6:30p to be sure to catch an elevator down…we were late for our reservation and almost lost it —on Valentine’s Day!!! So then the breakfast that we paid an extra $50 for, it ended at 10am, so we went to head down at 9am, never made it. By 9:50am, we went back and grabbed all our things and just left the room. We finally had to call down and complain until they sent a freight elevator to get us. It took us 1 hour 48 minutes to get OUT of the hotel.
Horrible experience. I will NEVER return. If you cannot operate basic functions at full capacity, then you DO NOT BOOK TO THAT LEVEL!!! And worst part, I’ve STILL not heard back from Hilton about it - it’s officially been over month today - crickets!!!!"
