Staff at this hotel were very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable. The rooftop was nice to grab a drink for happy hour and the restaurant downstairs was helpful for breakfast/lunch. The hotel is located conveniently around various restaurants.

We were disappointed the rooms did not have a real closet or place to hang clothes, especially for long dresses or suits. It did not have any drawers or storage space so for four days we lived out of a suitcase. None of the regular rooms offered a bathtub, only accessible showers. We didn't get housekeeping service until the third day which was surprising. The staff is very nice and helpful but couldn't help with our request for better amenities when we reached out.

I definitely recommend the Hyatt Centric to anyone going to Austin, especially if you want to stay near 6th Street. The facility inside and out is very nice, staff was wonderful but our issue was regarding two things…the a/c was an issue and the pillows. We had to set the temp at 65 degrees to cool the room during the day; which is strange because the room was cool during the day but even with the temp set to 65 the room would be hot at night, making it impossible to sleep. Also the pillows on the bed were horrible…they would get hard/flat! The bed was very comfortable but if you’re hot and your pillows are flat/hard, there is no way you are going to be able to sleep. No, we did not complain because we only stayed 2 nights and thought that maybe the hot room was just the first night, turned it down from 70 to 68 to 66 and on the final day/night had it down to 65 degrees and we both could not sleep!! I really do hate to not give an excellent rating for everything because from the Valet to the inside staff everyone was very nice and professional and the facility/room was very clean!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Centric! The staff was top-notch, the room was very nice and clean, and the location was unbeatable. We were able to walk to sites, museums, shopping, restaurants, and bars. Highly recommend a corner room. If you are staying for a weekend, expect some bar/street noise Friday and Saturday nights. Nothing some earplugs can't fix though. Great value for this hotel!

Ignacio in the bar was very nice and made me feel like I was welcome. Being from Hawaii and owning a restaurant/bar I was very impressed with how he treated the guests.

Beware that these rooms are extremely small. As well as, the shower and the bathroom is very small smallest too. It is also in the rooms, dimly lit. Lots of light through the windows when it’s daytime, but no lighting that is helpful for reading or working in the bed area at night, I had to ask for extra lamps and I’ve never had to do that anywhere before I would not recommend this hotel as the rooms are just too small for the cost.

The rooms was very clean and modern. The only slight drawbacks were noise, both from outside (traffic, trash colllection) and inside (neigbouring rooms, noisy A/C system). Oh and the provision of a steamer instead of an iron and ironing board wasn't a big hit with me. But overall a very good hotel and I'd stay there again.

Everything was excellent. Very clean and modern. I only took off 1 star from the condition review because the finishes in the room were sloppy. Caulk hanging from towel hook mount and TP holder not anchored properly. But the room was still outstanding and we would be happy to stay there again.

This is an average hotel at an above average price. Location is great if you want to hit the bars and do the tourist-stuff in Austin. Rooms are TINY....like VERY tiny. Staff is nice, super friendly and great at getting the doors open an stuff. But over all we were underwelmed by the hotel itself.

We loved our stay. Staff friendly and helpful. 8th floor lounge was great and had comfortable seating. One of the female bartenders was fantastic. Room was very clean and we loved being on one of the higher floors.

Overall it was good, we got a great view of the Austin half marathon. The toilet won’t flush so we had to call room service. Even after he unclogged it with a pluger, it’s still very slow flush. The ceiling needs work because it gave the impression it’s dirty with many black lines
