"The room smelled like weed, the bed was very uncomfortable and nobody was at the front desk. I would tell people to not stay here. We paid for two nights and only stayed one."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Shell Beach Inn. It's the perfect distance between Pismo and Avila Beaches and has easy access to many restaurants and a little store. The room was simple but had everything we needed to enjoy the beach. The pool was warm enough that we could use it and my kids enjoyed it a lot. "

"They have been updating the room since we were there last, the sleeping area was definitely updated, new beds and flooring. The restroom lacked any updates, rotting base boards, bathtub took forever to drain and the faucet came off and shot across the tub. I'm hoping they complete the upgrades soon. "
